How Our Students Live

Page 8

Our students say LVC feels a lot like home. Our campus community is close-knit and welcoming. Students know one another, support one another, and treat one another with the trust and respect that comes from being part of a safe community. A favorite place on campus is the Peace Garden, which draws students in with its serene ponds, a footbridge, and plenty of space to sit and study (or take a break from studying). Our students find the beauty of the garden— and campus in general—provides a welcome backdrop to their active lives.

Our parents like the fact that campus is safe and nurturing. Our campus is comfortable and convenient. Students live a short walk from friends, classes, the library, dining halls, and fitness facilities. Everything they need is close at hand. There are enough activities and events to keep them busy, but there is also enough peace and quiet to allow them to focus on the things that are most important in college— studying and doing well.

“ S arah is getting from LVC exactly what she needs—the right size campus, the distance from home (not too far, not too close), the down-to-earth staff. The school is very personable. During the open house, I felt like I was meeting new ‘old’ friends.”
