LEAF Concert Great Gallery The spirit of LEAF is truly captured in the headline concert, ranging from Kate Simko's London Electronic Orchestra with her all-embracing, multidisciplinary approach to composition to Manchester sounds of 808 State, and headlined by the wildly diverse Modeslektor; Infused with exuberance and punctuated by a slap of the absurd, their inarguable grooves seem to emanate from every conceivable genre. Modeselektor’s inarguable grooves seem to hop past every conceivable musical genre. With a rare London performance the German duo will showcase why they have always been prized as more of a live act than studio musicians. With showmanship and charisma in their blood, their live performances are dynamic, uplifting and always goes on twists and turns. British house music pioneers 808 State will be performing their classic album Ninety in its entirety, marking the 25 year anniversary of a record that helped lay the foundations of the 90s electronic revolution. Graham Massey from 808 commented "I think that ‘Ninety's future facing optimism survives... we are happy that LEAF are giving us the 'Classic Album' slot as a chance to see if it does!' Kate Simko and her London Electronic Orchestra are opening the show but this is one act not to miss. Offering a truly modern and contemporary twist on classical music, by fusing an orchestra with an electronically lead soundscape. The experience will show how electronic music can be composed in more classical forms, and how the two scenes are rooted in similar melodic roots, that complement so well with the right direction. Tickets are available separately or as an upgrade on the day

19.00 – Doors 19.30 – Kate Simko 20.45 – 808 State 22.00 – Modeselektor
