Health Insurance Law Talk with Sandy Praeger Starts “Coffee & Conversation” 2013-14 Series

Coffee & Conversation

An update on health care and health insurance changes from the state’s insurance commissioner will be the first topic in the 2013-14 “Coffee & Conversation” series. Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger will deliver a short presentation about the current and future changes in health insurance as dictated by the Affordable Care Act, which was signed into law in 2010, and then will answer questions about the law and how it is being implemented in Kansas. The program will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. Sept. 24 at SpringHill Suites Marriot, 1 Riverfront Plaza. SpringHill Suites is also the event sponsor. “Coffee & Conversation” is a series of morning educational programs designed to educate Chamber members on important local and regional issues that can affect their daily business. “Coffee & Conversation” programs are held during the academic year, and are open to Chamber members and Leadership Lawrence alumni only. Attendance is free and no reservations are required. The full slate for the 2013-14 season will be available soon. If you would like to host or sponsor an event, call Cathy Lewis at 785.865.4406.
