Laura Frazier

Currently a student at University of Portland in Portland Ore., I will graduate in May 2013 and plan to pursue a career in journalism. I've worked at the UP student newspaper, The Beacon, since 2009. I was a reporter for 2 years, Features Editor for 1 year, and am now the News Editor. I have worked for a variety of professional newspapers and magazines, including the Albany Democrat Herald in Albany Ore (2011)., and 4 Portland-area publications. Fall 2011, I had an essay published as a freelance writer in Portland Magazine, UP's alumni magazine. Summer of 2012, I was an intern through the Snowden Foundation and worked for Pamplin Media. I worked at the News-Times in Forest Grove Ore., and at the Portland Tribune. Fall of 2012, I worked as a freelance reporter for Willamette Week in Portland Ore. The clips included in my library are a variety of examples showcasing my work as a student journalist and a professional.
