Message from the

General Manager Winter/Spring 2020 The entertainer Mae West said “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” Oscar Wilde said “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” Livermore Area Recreation and Park District exists to help with the quality of life for the people of this community. Our mission is: To provide the people of the Livermore Area with outstanding recreation programs and a system of parks, trails, recreation areas and facilities that promote enjoyment, lifelong learning and healthy active lifestyles. In short we help make memories and change lives. We are successful when we see the smiles on the faces of the young children proclaiming “I just did the slide by myself” or a parent giving their child its first swim lesson in a supervised parent /child session, or the smiles on the bride and groom who have just declared their vows. There are so many examples we can share with you. Thank you to this community for its support of fellow citizens and their quality of life through the work of LARPD and the LARPD Foundation. Together we are Making Memories and Changing Lives.

Activity Guides The LARPD Activity Guide is published three times per year: Summer, Fall and Winter/Spring. Readers can also view the LARPD Activity Guide online at www.larpd.org. Changes that take place after the printed guide is published can be found in the online guide edition. Photo Policy LARPD reserves the right to use photos taken of visitors while they are visiting LARPD facilities or special events or participants in any department programs. Such photographs may be used by Livermore Area Recreation and Park District for publicity purposes. Holiday Closures The District Offices are closed on: 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1, 1/20, 2/17, 4/12, 4/13.
