Certificate Requirements Students attempting this certificate need not apply ahead of time as registration is by course. Upon successfully completing the requirements, fill in an Application for Graduation form and submit it to Continuing Studies to receive your certificate. All requirements must be completed within four years of starting the program. Courses may also be taken individually so long as the specific course prerequisites are met.
Entry Requirements There are no academic requirements for entry into the above programmes, but students should have basic Windows application and file management skills (equivalent to the Computer Basics or Windows File Management courses). In addition, good keyboarding/typing skills are a definite asset.
ACCPAC 1 CSFW1004 In this introduction to ACCPAC, you’ll learn transaction processing, with a focus on Accounts Payable. Topics include: recording Accounts Payable, Invoice Adjustment, and Payment transactions. Then, use Accpac to generate useful data and appropriate reports that facilitate effective business decision making. A primer on the skills you’ll need to efficiently use accounting systems is provided.
ACCPAC 2 CSFW2011 Hone the skills you learned in ACCPAC 1: record transactions and analyze financial data in GL and Accounts Receivable; edit Journal Entries and report Financials data. Create and record invoices, payments, and adjustments in Accounts Receivable. Reconciling bank statements will be treated in-depth. By course end you will have the confidence and skills to use Accpac effectively in the workplace.
