HOW WE TEST AIRFLOW We test every ceiling fan to standardized industry testing parameters. The CFM data (Cubic Feet per Minute) is printed on the EnergyGuide label of every fan carton and in every catalog. This is the amount of air movement the user feels when beneath the fan. CFM is an objective approach to making competitive comparisons. Blade pitch, RPM (revolutions per minute), blade length and overall design are used to maximize CFM. CFM is the true measure of air flow.
