The successful delivery of the complex wave-form roof of the London Aquatics Centre relied heavily on Lakesmere’s extensive design expertise, value-engineering and logistical 3D planning tools. By firstly creating a virtual model, Lakesmere used the innovative Kalzip XT system to create the smooth curved geometry for the roof surface above a faceting steel frame.
