elcome! It’s hard to believe that the Spring 2014 Employer Showcase is upon us! Months of preparation and collaboration with the College of Engineering and the Graham Office of Career Management in the Gatton College of Business & Economics have paved the way for a successful two-day Employer Showcase. We are excited to partner again with the Kernel Newspaper in providing the Employer Showcase Resource Guide to all UK students as well as the entire campus community. This Resource Guide contains vital career fair information about our Premier Employers and additional employers participating in the Showcase. Retain this guide after the event as a useful tool for career planning and development. The Stuckert Career Center is staffed with highly trained and helpful career professionals whose focus is to guide you in reaching your career goals. We ask that you, the student, become proactive in utilizing our services by immediately registering on Wildcat CareerLink, which can be found at the site mentioned above. In addition to our programs, you can learn about employers, see their schedules for Employer Information Sessions, find internship opportunities, and become familiar with online job search tools such as Vault® and Career Shift®. Once you experience the ease of using these resources and experience first hand the guidance, concern, and care of our staff, you will more fully understand how much we care about your present and future career journey. We are here to help you EXPLORE your career and college major options, ENGAGE in the process of expanding your knowledge and experience of the work Francene Gilmer place, and to CONNECT with those who will help you begin your career path. The Stuckert Career Center website, www.uky.edu/careercenter, details career programs and workshops for the semester and continuing services offered to our student community. Our newest campus program will feature a well-known author, Peggy Noe Stevens, on March 7 in 230 Student Center from 10:00 am until 1:15 pm. Ms. Stevens will present workshops topics from book, Professional Presence! The James W. Stuckert Career Center is the “building with the clock tower” across from the Singletary Arts Center and next door to the King Alumni House. The Stuckert Career Center is the place where preparation meets opportunity! Small steps taken today will build a solid foundation upon which to achieve your future goals! We are here to help you Explore...Engage… and Connect! Finally, my thanks to all who have been involved with the Employer Showcase plans, but a special THANK YOU to our incredible student volunteers! Our Career Center Ambassadors, Volunteers, and other students are invaluable to our success. Again, thank you! Sincerely,

Francene Gilmer
