Associate Athletics Director/Media Relations Todd Kober returned to Illinois State in 2001 to lead the department where he served as a student assistant, graduate assistant and assistant director from 1995-2000. In 2000-01, he was assistant sports information director at Rice. Since his return to Illinois State, Kober continues to institute leadership and training programs for staff, enhance Illinois State’s Web site, GoRedbirds.com, increase ISU Athletics’ social media presence, elevate office technology and handle the department’s television and radio networks. An award-winning publications editor, Kober leads Illinois State’s publicity, publications and information support efforts for all 19 sports. He and his wife, Susan, an Illinois State alumna, reside in Normal, Ill., and have a daughter, Anna (4), and a son, Halas (2).

BETHANY BUCHOLTZ

Assistant Athletics Director/Ticket Operations Bucholtz, a native of Camp Point, Ill., enters her second year overseeing Illinois State’s ticketing operation, after serving as the Redbirds’ assistant ticket manager from 2001-02. After working as the assistant at ISU, Bucholtz worked in a similar role at Iowa, before spending the last five years as the assistant ticket manager at Illinois. With the Illini, Bucholtz worked consistently with the Paciolan Ticketing System, which Illinois State Athletics also uses. She also assisted in the supervision of the staff, while overseeing the game-day ticketing operations for volleyball, soccer, men’s and women’s gymnastics, baseball and men’s tennis. She was also heavily involved in the ticketing for Illinois football and men’s basketball games, including the 2005 Final Four and the 2008 Rose Bowl game. Bucholtz earned her bachelor’s degree in 1999, from Illinois-Springfield, and acquired her master’s degree in 2002, from Illinois State. She and her husband, Scott, reside in Normal, Ill.

ROHRK CUTCHLOW

Assistant Athletics Director/Sport Performance Upon his arrival on Illinois State’s campus in November 2003, Rohrk Cutchlow assisted in the design of the Owen Strength and Conditioning Center in Redbird Arena. Since then, the state-of-the-art facility, coupled with Cutchlow’s commitment, skill and experience, has Redbird student-athletes performing at the highest possible level. In 2006, Cutchlow was one of five finalists for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) College Strength Coach of the Year Award. Prior to Illinois State, Cutchlow was the head strength and conditioning coach for Olympic sports at Iowa State, where he was in charge of 16 Olympic sports, including men’s basketball. While at Iowa State, Cutchlow earned a master’s degree in education in 2001. He also worked with professional baseball players for the Iowa Cubs for two seasons. A native of Littleport, Iowa, Cutchlow has National Strength and Conditioning Association certification. He also has club coach certification through USA weightlifting and is a member of the Black Coaches Association. A 1999 graduate of the University of Memphis, he was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter for the Tiger baseball team. Cutchlow resides with Cecilia Olivares and their daughter, Memphis (7), and son, Grayson (3), in Normal, Ill.

PEYTON DETERDING

Assistant Athletics Director/Facilities & Operations Peyton Deterding begins his third season at Illinois State, where he oversees the facilities and game operations for all athletic venues and contests. Deterding joined the ISU staff after a three-year stint at Northern Illinois, where he served as the Huskies’ event manager and football travel coordinator. Prior to working at NIU, the Denver, Iowa, native worked a season at Virginia as the facility and event coordinator. With the Cavaliers, Deterding supervised game operations and served as tournament director for NCAA Men’s Soccer and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Field Hockey Championships. His athletics career began in August 1994, when he started his first of three seasons as a basketball manager at Northern Iowa. A 1998 graduate of Northern Iowa, Deterding completed his master’s degree in exercise and sport science from Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2002. He and his wife, Nikki, reside in Bloomington, Ill.

BRAD LEDFORD

Assistant Athletics Director/Marketing & Promotions Brad Ledford enters his sixth season at Illinois State. With the Redbirds, Ledford spearheads the ISU marketing effort by developing and implementing the marketing plan, overseeing the sales and sponsorship opportunities and managing components of game-day atmosphere at Redbird Athletics events. Efforts of the athletics marketing department over recent years have assisted in increasing student attendance and involvement; increasing average attendances and setting individual game attendance highs for several sports; improving game atmosphere, presentation and video-board production; and expanding sales inventory. Prior to joining the ISU staff, Ledford worked two years as the marketing and promotions coordinator at Eastern Kentucky. Before becoming the coordinator, he also worked as an intern in the Colonels marketing office, as well as with the Nashville Sounds professional baseball team. Ledford earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sports management from Eastern Kentucky. He resides in Normal, Ill.
