hile it’s obvious of a film’s cast and crew to be aware of a reptile on the set, Kareena Kapoor remained oblivious to a snake that slithered into the studio where she was shooting Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. So much so that she didn’t even care to know what the commotion was about, preferring to sit in a corner with her feet resting on another chair. Strange, since there were a few hundred people at the shoot and they were running all over the place for fear of being attacked by the snake. It was only when her hairstylist Pompi showed her a picture of the snake on his mobile that Bebo freaked out and screamed. Only to be told, that there was no point in her screaming so late because the snake had been driven out. After that, throughout the day, director Punit Malhotra was trying to scare everyone at the location, telling them that the snake was under their chair. But Kareena wasn’t amused.

riyanka Chopra who had her plate full with movies and her international album suddenly faced a setback in her personal life with her father’s death. While everyone in the Bollywood fraternity was expecting Priyanka to take a break, she shocked all by expressing her desire to resume work. Priyanka was set to shoot for the Mary Kom biopic with Bhansali but because of the tragedy, the shooting was postponed. Bhansali had given Priyanka all the time she needed to recoup from the trauma but the actress was stubborn about getting back to work as she believed that this would be her father’s desire too. Priyanka who has been practicing boxing for a while, has started shooting for the film.

hey worked together in blockbuster ‘Aashiqui 2’ and instantly clicked with each other. Yes, we are taking about the new lovebirds of tinsel town, Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. They are said to be dating and very much in love. Their love story took off on the set of ‘Aashiqui 2’ and with the end of the shoot, they became one. They enjoyed the success of the film together as a couple and both are very much attracted towards each other. In an interview, Aditya expressed his liking for the actress, “I can understand why people think we are together, as we are really good friends and are really really close and go out for dinner and movies together. She is a nice person and is a good actress and is great fun to be around with.” They are often caught together on various occasions and share a good camaraderie. Aditya in the past had dated Rhea Chakraborty. Shraddha Kapoor, daughter of Shakti Kapoor, has bagged another project. Also this cookie kept his cravings for sugar at bay. It kept him full and satisfied. His diet consultant, Marika Johansson invented these cookies especially for him looking at his requirements of high protein and low carb diet. Fitness is: I don’t complicate exercise. Do something you enjoy. Join a dance class, run by the beach, skip in your balcony. I have an aversion to gyms. I find them claustrophobic, and get dizzy on a treadmill. Living in Goa made it easy to run by the beach; four kilometres, three days a week for three months. And the results were instant. I discovered that running was liberating. It eases your mind, and helps you bust stress. For me, interval training worked. I would sprint, then slow jog, then sprint again. The short high energy bursts accelerated calorie burning. Exercise of choice: Running also gifts you chiselled cheekbones, which don’t always look good on screen. So, I alternate running with other exercises. I swim twice a week, and can manage 100 laps. I alternate between the breast, back and butterfly stroke. The combination helps tone my chest, inner thighs, shoulders, buttocks and arms. Diet rules: I love to eat. If I am craving cake, I’ll have it. But I make sure I don’t overdo it. Sugar can boomerang in a bad way. Between lunch and breakfast, I sip on coconut water or sweet lime juice. Lunch is at 1 pm and includes two chapatis, chicken or fish, and a vegetable such as cauliflower. And of course, there’s daal. I’m not fond of rice.

Mindset of youth

ukrey mirrors the mindset of the youth of today who look for shortcuts to raise funds and attain their targets/dreams. It is about four youngsters and their tryst to make it big in life. Choocha [Varun Sharma] gets dreams, which Hunny [Pulkit Samrat] construes and decodes into a lottery ticket number. With the motive of acquiring the examination papers in advance, the duo decides to invest more money and reap benefits. Meanwhile, Lali [Manjot Singh] and Zafar [Ali Fazal] too need to fulfill their individual desires and aspirations and join hands with Hunny and Choocha. However, things go topsy-turvy when they pick up a loan from Bholi Punjaban [Richa Chadda], a female gangster.... The film stays true to Delhi’s colloquialism and the humor is subtle and understated and not in your face tomfoolery and clowning.

The film also highlights what happens when justice is denied to the victim’s family. Vikram and director Suhail Tatari take the spectator from inside the operation theatre to a courtroom, where an eminent surgeon is tried for medical recklessness. Dr. Romesh [Arjun Mathur] was in awe of Dr. Asthana [Kay Kay Menon] of Shekhawat General Hospital. He had a live-in relationship with Dr. Riya [Vishakha Singh], his co-intern and the love of his life. Remake of Prabhu Deva film

amaiya Vastavaiya is an upcoming Bollywood romance film directed by Prabhu Deva. The film introduces producer Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Kumar, opposite Shruti Haasan. It is a remake of Prabhu Deva’s directorial debut Telugu blockbuster Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The story is based on youngster Ram (Girish Kumar) who falls in love with Sona (Shruti Haasan), who is his cousin’s best friend and lives on the fields of Punjab. He follows her to her farm, where her elder brother (Sonu Sood) challenges him to produce more seed on their fields. The first song promo of the film was released under the title of “Jeene Laga Hoon”, sung by Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal.

"It was very interesting to do a period film because a new world is created. I had no clue about 1950s, so to live a character who is living in that era, was very interesting," said Ranveer Singh.
