Precious JEWELS The night air Imagine stepping out into the night air with a delicate black sequined purse, something precious and unique that you knitted yourself. Bring the night to life with the dazzling knitted items in this collection made from my new yarn called “Lumina”. The yarn features a textured combination of satiny viscose and cotton threads sparkling with thousands of tiny sequins. This collection of elegant easy-to-knit garments and accessories are very suitable for beginner knitters. They also mostly small projects and relatively quick to knit.

Fabulous duo Our cover garment is the multicoloured chevron scarf which is luxuriously long and uses a shimmering combination of four “Lumina” yarn shades. The scarf, worn together with the knee length A-line Jacket (see page 7) makes a fabulous duo that will look relaxed or dressy with jeans for an evening out. The chic fitted singlet (page 10) is shown in shades of “envy” or “sin” and can be knitted as either a cropped or long line version. Its a versatile garment which will add a sophisticated up-tempo feel to your neutral wardrobe.

Audrey The Alpaca Silk Georgette garments in this collection add a 1950’s feel and a little of Audrey Hepburn’s understated style. Four heavenly shades are featured with projects small enough to tempt a new knitter to try the next level. All are Soft and cuddly and especially comfy with fitted sleeves and body hugging shapes. The Alpaca Silk Georgette yarn has been around now for long enough to have gathered a following of its own. Its silky feel has made it a favourite. My teenage daughter has a fitted v-neck sweater of this yarn that she has worn for a full season and after 2 washes it looks as good as new. Understated styling remains a constant in all our collections. When you have invested your precious time crafting a garment, you want to know that you will wear it this season as well as next. Knit Issue 4 offers some precious jewels for you to treasure, so indulge yourself with these exquisite fibres as you dance (or knit) the night away. Jo Sharp

Caring for your garment HAND WASHING For best results, gently hand wash knitted items in lukewarm water, using a wool detergent. Rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water. Rinse again in cold water.

DRYING To remove excess moisture after washing, roll garment inside a large towel and gently squeeze. Alternatively, spin dry inside a pillow case. Never tumble dry. Place on a flat surface in the shade to dry, coaxing back into shape whilst damp. Drying flat is recommended. Do not dry directly in front of an open or artificial fire.

DRY CLEANING Generally is not recommended as residual dry cleaning chemicals tend to harden hand knitted fabric.
