ProRental The liberty to demand the best.

The ProRental systems open up unlimited opportunities for spectacular projects.

All systems from the ProRental series are designed for mobile use. Handles to facilitate carrying, feet at positions where they are needed, the polyurea coating, which is more resistant than regular paint. Thought out mechanically and designed for long-term use.

The ProRental series is distinguished acoustically through the optimisation for maximum performance. The carefully selected neodymium chassis deliver results that you expect as a user.

These systems are also lightweight, easy to use with the K&F SystemRack and always protected.

Our philosophy is to reproduce the most neutral, natural and authentic sound possible.

All ProRental systems, up to PASSIO, are run with the K&F SystemRack as a drive and control unit.

The LS-Blocks include the parameters for each loudspeaker in order to achieve an optimal result.

This guarantees the user consistent and reproducible results with marked high system performance.

K&F SEQUENZA 10 ProRental Line Array Systems Details that make a difference The line array system, K&F SEQUENZA 10, proves convincing in its handling. The fast and safe rigging system 'Snap&Fly' saves time and personnel without cutting corners on safety. All angle adjustments of the 3-point rigging system are pre-selected on the ground. When lifting, the units lock automatically and the line array is immediately ready for use. And all that with compact dimensions and a low weight.

Front sound pressure, with high backward damping.

Up to four elements generate a maximum sound pressure of 150 dB. Towards the stage, however, the system is extremely quiet. The subwoofer K&F SEQUENZA 10 B blasts the powerful energy forward in a cardioid array and the rearward lowfrequency part is eliminated. The sound is then clearer, the stage quieter and disturbing emissions in the surroundings are considerably reduced.

Patented Waveguide The special tweeter unit of the K&F SEQUENZA 10 consists of a waveformer with three 1” high-frequency drivers that produces a plane wave front up to over 16 kHz. The unique tweeter resolution and the long throw are convincing during every use.

K&F SEQUENZA 5 ProRental Line Array Systems All good things come in threes!

K&F SEQUENZA 5 is characterised by its ease-of-use, compact size and subtle appearance. Together with 'SafeLock', the fast and safe rigging system 'Snap&Fly+' saves time, personnel, and nerves, while cutting no corners in its safety.

Three body variants allow the user to optimally respond to the different conditions on-site. With the K&F SEQUENZA 5 W transport case the angle adjustments of the system can then be pre-selected on the ground, and the units lock automatically when lifted. Alternatively, the three previously connected elements are tipped and then connected from case to case. For smaller setups, such as with applications with the VariMount adapter or the Downfill adapter SEQUENZA 10 to 5, the K&F SEQUENZA 5 elements can also be individually connected to each other.

Form Follows Function The K&F SEQUENZA 5 was designed to achieve the effective length for a line array with just a few elements. One of the many technical highlights is the use of the modified and patented Waveguide from the K&F SEQUENZA 10, which is used as a 100째 x 15째 version with more vertical coverage. It was thus once again possible to combine technology and design to create superior product advantages.

K&F SEQUENZA 5 - not only an acoustic system with all crucial details - it is simply impressive in its design, optimisation and perfect interplay.

This enables the dispatcher to get more material in the truck, the crew saves energy during transport and handling, and the rigger can spare himself many load points. In short: effectiveness is increased and the work is made easier - this saves costs and increases earnings.

This is where the GRAVIS range, which has now been extended by the two models GRAVIS 8 and GRAVIS 15, meets the widest range of requirements every day and without compromise.

The less you see of the speaker systems the better. And the more compact the dimensions and lower the weight, the easier are transport and installation. Anything that is visible should be optically integrated. All models from the new K&F GRAVIS range combine the multifunctional and extremely compact form with the modern and subtle design.

Kling & Freitag stands for the most neutral and authentic reproduction of the audio signal. Our desire for accurate reproduction, especially at the lower octaves, and a dry and artefact-free bass is often only recognised through our own experience and appreciation.

The new K&F NOMOS subwoofers combine two highly welcome features – significant musicality paired with astounding performance. The acoustic tuning of all subwoofers achieves deep and very contoured bass reproduction. The housings of the 15" and 18" subwoofers, which was designed with truck dimensions, are compatible with each other so can be combined as cardioid systems. A clear design language, which is maintained in all combinations, was implemented. This is how the speaker connection for cardioid applications was integrated behind the logo, for example. Together with the NOMOS XLC, the NOMOS range now has 6 different high performance subwoofers, which enable optimal use with the fullrange systems from the ProRental lines GRAVIS and SEQUENZA. Subwoofer systems of the K&F NOMOS range are exceptionally musical, professional and cost-saving tools, making way for what is really important – the well-directed and creative design of acoustic impressions.

K&F SCENA ProRental Floor Wedge People who make music also like to hear music At the beginning, there is the artist. Whenever music is played live, the floor wedge K&F SCENA 15 provides extremely accurate feedback to the musician and thus forms the base for making music at a high level of quality. Its natural sound and the basic tone, which is particularly warm and precise, support clear intonation, and work without stress. The job at the control board becomes pleasantly easygoing: with the K&F SCENA 15, it is easier to bring out the important voices and instruments, coinciding with a very low feedback tendency (gain before feedback).

What a modern floor wedge needs With its subtle and attractive design with a low installation height and covered connection field, K&F SCENA 15 has been optimised for operation as floor wedge in live mode and for applications with high optical value, such as in television or on theatre stages. The coaxially assembled monitor is very flexible and can also be suspended on the M10 suspension points, if needed, or mounted on speaker stands using integrated mounting flanges.

The handling of K&F SCENA 15 is appreciated for its compact dimensions, the low weight and the intelligent handle solution. The special polyurea coating, the robust exterior grille and the well-positioned base plates make it robust for tough everyday touring conditions.

Operation of K&F SCENA 15 by “plug & play”, with the K&F SystemRack. The mode “1 Channel Controlled” allows the operation of 4 floor wedge tracks per K&F SystemRack. The “2 Channel Controlled” operation allows the maximum technically feasible performance, as equalisation for the high and low-mid ranges are approached separately. All systems of the InstallSound series are designed as installation speakers. The housing design fits elegantly and unobtrusively into any room. The subtle, integrated rear mounting bracket is included in the delivery. The standard finish is available in black and white; special RAL colours can be provided on request.

Acoustically, the systems of the InstallSound series are designed as full-range speakers. To extend the low frequency range, matching subwoofer systems complement the product range. All products can offer high processing and playback quality. The universal use option as main, surround or background sound is offered in many areas as the perfect sound solution.

K&F TOPAS InstallSound Digital Network Amplifier The heart of the installation: K&F TOPAS The DSP platform contains the Kling & Freitag specific loudspeaker setups (LS-Blocks) and is the basis for optimal control of the connected speakers. Furthermore, the K&F TOPAS is very communicative.

Over Ethernet, it can be flexibly switched on or off, controlled and monitored. The redundant designed firmware enables updates and plug-ins over the web interface.

K&F TOPAS InstallSound Digital Network Amplifier Design Features: Standby Power consumption in standby mode: 4.5 W (monitoring over remote and network switch active) standby switchover time -> ready to use: 1.6 seconds. Standby mode can be awakened via a signal by GPIO, Ethernet or after connecting the supply voltage.

GPIOs Four user-assigned inputs can be controlled with analogue voltage levels from 0-10 V. The inputs allow, for example, setting of the volume level, the turning on and off of the amp, as well as muting of the inputs. With the inputs and outputs (GPIOs), you can create control tasks for signals and control functions without additional media control or a PC. Changing the level, switching on and off, switching between analogue and digital (AES3), switching from presets or to PRIO input - everything is possible and much more.

The input impedance is 10 k立. The inputs provide a high impedance of 5 V and allow the creation of external storage space without an external power supply. From a total of four outputs, 2 are outputs in the active open-collector circuit, 5 V / 15 mA internal power supply, up to 50 V / 200 mA switching capacity with external power supply.

The other two outputs are designed/usable as potential- free relays (optional selections: 4 x open collector circuit). Freely assignable events, such as power on, system ready, mute, digital or analogue input, PRIO input and switching delay for more amps (power sequencing). The status of the power amplifiers can be freely assigned to the outputs via the web interface.

Safety Monitoring of internal protection circuits (clipping, DC, short circuit, temperature, secondary voltage). Permanent monitoring of the processor via Watchdog. The GPOs can display all events.

K&F CA Series Passive Fullrange Systems The fullrange systems of the K&F CA series are approved since many years in the professional everyday life. Their particularities are their high acoustic level and the simple operation with any high quality linear output stage, without additional signal electronics.

In order to reach optimized acoustical characteristics in passive concepts, carefully adjusted compensation and linearization filters are employed in the audio crossover.

For some systems, sophisticated all-pass filters have been added, for the adaptation of phase response and envelope delay. The result is a hardly perceptible transition from the direct radiator to the horn driver and a homogeneous evolution of the radiation characteristics. For this, the integrated self-resetting circuit breakers increase the operation reliability.

All systems dispose in the mid-high range of rotary horn-driver combinations with configured radiation characteristics, and according to the model they are perfectly adapted for the use in short or medium auditory distances. The combination of the attractive enclosure design and functional accessories permits a wide-range and flexible use.

All enclosures are equipped with a monitor angle (K&F CA 1215 optionally) Furthermore, all models are available as 'AS' version (axial symmetry) in order to form monitor pairs (horn to horn). This symmetric arrangement provides a higher focusing in the mid-high range and thus reduces feedback problems of monitor operation to the minimum.

For the control without compromise and for the operation with subwoofer systems, digital system controllers K&F CD 44, the K&F SystemRack and K&F TOPAS are available, for the quick and easy realization of a maximum of sound and of operation liability even in the most stressful production activities - for a single full-range system, for larger assemblies of loudspeakers or in combination with K&F subwoofers.

K&F Line Serie Hornloaded Fullrange System The K&F Line 212 belongs to the rare category of big full-range systems with passive crossover. They are used as full-range system or top part, combined with the digital system controller K&F CD 44, the K&F SystemRack or the K&F TOPAS. The patented FLC®-technology, developed by Kling & Freitag produces already from the low mid range a dispersion characteristic with a distinctly orientated and homogeneous progression. For this purpose, two equal speaker chassis are acoustically linked to one single sound line and controlled by the FLC®-electronics in frequency bands in identical phases. The frequency-selective addition of the two 12“ diaphragms results in a highly efficient and acoustically optimized speaker unit - especially for bass range reproduction, efficiency and homogeneity of the omni-directional dispersion.

There is an enormous number of possible combinations with K&F Line 212 systems: single systems or cluster combinations, horizontal or vertical installation, placed on the stage or flown. The certified suspension system 'Click & Fly®' is very easy to operate and permits a quick and safe setup.

The high reproduction quality, the unique radiation characteristics, the high maximum sound pressure limit and the high operation liability are making of K&F Line 212 systems the first choice for all applications with medium auditory distances. They are offering highest flexibility and cost-effectiveness, and for this reason we recommend them as mobile PA installation for live music, disco, speech or addition of videos, but also as fixed installations in theaters, convention centers, multi-purpose halls or sports stadiums.

K&F SW Series Passive Subwoofer Systems The K&F SW series consists of a range of compact subwoofers. All systems have been optimized for the fullrange systems of the K&F CA and K&F Line 212 series. The K&F SW systems can be used for various purposes, excelling in particular with applications which are requiring a powerful and differentiated low range reproduction with high sound pressure. Combined with the K&F CA and K&F Line 212 series, the optimized control is ensured by the digital system controller K&F CD 44, the K&F SystemRack or the K&F TOPAS. Optionally, there is a switchable passive low pass filter available for selected models of the K&F SW series. Therefore an additional Systemcontroller for low pass settings is not nessecary required.

A solid and sophisticated tunnel and enclosure design reduces to the minimum the friction losses and distortions by high air speed. The tunnel lay-out of the subwoofers is enlarging exponentially, supplying an essential contribution to the excellent performance of this model range. All subwoofers are disposing of modern long stroke chassis technology with high-efficiency cooling.

Enclosures of the K&F SW series are optimized for two applications: K&F SW for the mobile use and the K&F SWi model for fixed installation. The stacking grooves and the plastic sliding feet of the mobile versions ensure the safe stacking of equal housings. The integrated ergonomic handles are placed in the balance point, simplifying handling. The fixed installation versions renounce for optical reasons slide pads, stacking cavities and handles. Also, they can be flown by means of hidden M12 thread inserts. The K&F SW 215E 'Suspension' can be assembled with the K&F Line 212 systems by the certified rigging system 'Click & Fly速' to flyable units.

K&F SP Series Speaker Systems with integrated Amplifier Technology The K&F SP series consists of a range of high quality self-powered speaker systems.

They are based on selected models of the passive K&F CA-, K&F Line- and K&F SWseries and equipped with additional controlling and Class D output appliance technologies. These integrated active electronics ensure the controller functions which are specific to the system and include one or two highly efficient digital fanless 1 kW Class D output appliances. Due to the high efficiency of the Class D output appliances, the K&F SP systems are weighing only up to 3.9 kg more than the corresponding passive systems.

Plug & Play - the operation of the active speakers is as simple as possible: After connection of signal and current, your K&F SP system is ready to start. The fullrange systems of the K&F SP series are transmitting the full range of frequencies. In case of need it is possible to amplify the bass reproduction by additional K&F SP subwoofers.

K&F ACCESS Series Controller P.A. in 'True Array Design' The K&F ACCESS series consists of the two hornloaded high-end mid-high range systems K&F T5 and K&F T9, and of the subwoofer systems K&F B5 and K&F B10.

The arrangement of several K&F ACCESS systems in clusters or in big arrays allows the scaling for many different applications up to large-scale sound systems. By its regular directional characteristic, the K&F ACCESS series is also appropriate for smaller or middle-size audience requirements with only one stack (consisting of Top & Sub) per side.

The use of the 5“ compression driver permits a broad-band peak sound pressure of more than 140 dB, with very low distortion and highest audio quality (K&F ACCESS T5). The patented M5 driver contributes decisively to the homogeneity and transparency of the sound. All horn contours of the K&F ACCESS series are showing, beside their perfect directional characteristic and their optimized directivity, an efficiency advantage of 3-5 dB, compared with conventional hornloaded systems.

The two 18“ drivers of the subwoofers B5 and B10 are acting on an own vented chamber. Both diaphragm surfaces are acting together on the third pressure chamber which is open to the front side. By this, an enormous efficiency increase and a high reverse attenuation of both bass systems is realized.

The driving unit for the K&F ACCESS System is the K&F SystemRack. It is guaranteeing high performance reserves and the scalability / possibility of additionally rent which are required for sound systems of this size. Due to its low weight and the robust approved touring output stage it is offering a worldwide mobile and reliable operation, complying with highest sound standards.

The K&F ACCESS series is a high performance sound system, satisfying in an outstanding way all requirements in terms of sound and sound pressure - from hard rock to classical music.

K&F E90 MK II Passive Column Speaker System The K&F E90 MK II is a 2-way passive speaker whose high-performance column speaker design makes it especially suitable for rooms with difficult acoustics.

The column speaker's coverage clearly focuses the vertical sound energy, beginning at 500 Hz. The K&F E90 MK II's controlled coverage noticeably reduces the reflections from the ceiling and floor and also facilitates the acoustic coverage of long rooms.

With these properties, the K&F E90 MK II system is extremely well-suited for speech and music reproduction in churches, conference rooms, lecture and church halls, historical buildings, and rooms with modern (glass) architecture. K&F CD 44 Digital System Controller The K&F CD 44 System Controller provides maximum flexibility and operational reliability for all loudspeaker models from Kling & Freitag. With its 4 analogue and digital signal inputs (AES /EBU) and 4 outputs, a wide range of precise and highest quality loudspeaker configurations are possible. Sense-controlled limiter functions enable the operation of all K&F loudspeakers, for example, regardless of the power amplifier used. Over the device's Ethernet interface, it is possible to control one or several CD 44 units using the CD Remote software. In this way, event-related setups can be preconfigured for use on the laptop / PC in offline mode and clearly displayed on the screen.

For each loudspeaker model, the CD 44 provides the meticulously calculated LS blocks with several operating modes for each required operating mode. The sense controller checks in real-time the output of the connected power amplifier and controls the RMS and peak limiter functions, which are designed for optimum protection of the respective systems.

Options, Informations and Services Option 'M' The passive models CA 1215 can also be ordered with the Option 'M' (monitor angle) to then be used as stage monitors.

Option 'AS' All speakers with a monitor angle can also be ordered as an axial symmetrical version so that monitor pairs (horn to horn) can be set up.

Option 'Fly' The SW 215E and SW 215E - SP can optionally be equipped with flying tracks from 'allsafe JUNGFALK'.

Option 'Special finish in RAL colours' All speakers can be painted in colours according to the RAL colour chart and can, thus, be created to meet your individual needs. The acoustic foam is also adapted to match the selected colour.

RAL colour charts are available from RAL German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification e. V.

Option 'XO' The K&F subwoofers with the option 'XO' have a switchable passive crossover.

For uses where an easy set-up is required, the bass range can be expanded using this option.

Option '100 Volt' Selected systems can be optionally equipped with a high-quality 100V toroidal transformer.

This minimises acoustic loss so that top results can even be achieved with K&F 100V speakers.

Option 'Barrier Strip' Selected systems can be optionally equipped with a Barrier Strip, which is suitable for fixed installations where the connection should be made without an additional plug connector. The barrier strip is capable of clamping wires with a conductor area from 0.2 up to 4 mm².

Classics 'Outdoor' Loudspeakers with the ‘Outdoor Mobile’ and ‘Outdoor Installation’ options are optimised for outdoor use. They withstand the temperature fluctuations in temperate climates, and are resistant to condensation.

Thus, the durability and reliability of the speaker can be guaranteed over the long term, although speakers with the ‘Outdoor’ option need to be protected from direct weather influences.

Option 'Outdoor Mobile' Compared to the standard version, all speakers with the ‘Outdoor Mobile’ option’ are provided with a multi-layer, heat and UV-resistant complete priming of the housing by means of hightech PU boot polish, paint removal with heavy duty 2K textured paint in RAL colours, moisture-repellent impregnation of the membrane and corrosion protection of the electronic components (sealing wax). This also protects the loudspeakers from effects of the weather.

Handles, feet, stacking feet grooves and shutter profiles are no longer needed. All visible screws are from V2A.

Option 'Installation' Speakers based on the standard models with the ‘Installation’ option are optimised for architectural integration and offer variable, simple and secure mounting in fixed installations through numerous M10 mounting points. Visually distracting elements, such as handle grips, sliding feet, footrests, high rack bushings, are not needed in the ‘Installation’ option. This option is offered for the passive models CA 1215, CA 1515 and Line 212.

K&F CON:SEQUENZA+ Kling & Freitag Simulation Software K&F CON:SEQUENZA+ is the acoustic simulation software for Kling & Freitag line array systems, traditional horn-loaded loudspeakers and bass arrays. The acoustic calculation can be reproduced very precisely in the horizontal and vertical levels.

Already plan your solutions with regard to sound quality and cost efficiency in advance. Thanks to its intuitive user interface and numerous functions of the simulation views, it is possible to check acoustic coverage results in advance. The use of time and materials can also be identified and planned for the respective application.

The software permits the entry of several arrays and individual systems on different surfaces. The auto splay function permits the quick and easy calculation of angles between the different line array elements for the perfect sound distribution. Virtual measuring microphones may be discretely positioned in the space to simulate frequency responses and levels.

Safety is always in focus. Installation is becoming child’s play because, following completion of the simulation, K&F CON:SEQUENZA+ can output an entire system report as pdf. This report includes static calculations, safety instructions, and all necessary information for the setup.

Simulation Data EASE This software is an important verification tool for planning room acoustics and sound reinforcement systems. It not only allows for the simulation of acoustic situations in rooms which do not exist yet or are to be remodelled, but also for the testing of sound design solutions, especially in cases where a multitude of loudspeakers or arrays are used.

In order to do this, 3-dimensional acoustic models of the rooms must be generated in the computer. These models can be used for computing a wide range of parameters such as reverberation time, impulse response, sound pressure level distribution of sound systems, speech intelligibility, and many more. To optimise the results, wall arrangements, wall materials, as well as speaker types can be easily changed.

For room acoustical analyses, this computer simulation thus provides substantially more comprehensive results for notably less time and effort than the previously utilised measuring techniques using physical models. With the exception of concert hall design or the room-acoustical layout of complicated room structures, the new computer technology has almost completely replaced the technique using physical models.

ULYSSES The CAD program for perfectly calculated room acoustics and electroacoustics ULYSSES© was developed for the daily consulting business at IFB consulting. The objective was to design a very fast, user friendly, and precise tool for acoustic calculations and simulations for the design of sound systems. ULYSSES© works based on a graphically oriented 3-D CAD programme, including all customary CAD functions for high-speed input and simple editing of your projects. An ultra-lean code provides quick simulation results without special hardware and software.
