In the Air workshop Nerea Calvillo kezdeményezte az „In the Air” vizualizációs projektet, melynek célja, hogy láthatóvá tegye a levegőben található mikroszkopikus és szemmel láthatatlan elemeket: gázokat, részecskéket, pollent és kórokozókat. A KIBU-s workshoppal megmutattuk, hogy ezek miként kerülnek interakcióba a várossal. A projekt által létrehozott platform hozzájárulhat a légszennyezettség egyéni és kollektív tudatosulásához, és eredményei használhatók a városban valósidejű navigációra, illetve helyszínek levegőtisztaság alapján történő kiválasztására.
The workshop leader was Nerea Calvillo, Spanish artist who has previously developed In the Air Madrid at MediaLab Prado. This is a visualization project, which aims to make visible the microscopic and invisible agents of Madrid’s air (gases, particles, pollen, diseases, etc…), to see how they perform, react and interact with the rest of the city. The workshop was lead by Nerea Calvillo and involved a group of architects, interaction designers, and anthropologists. The project ended up with a web based dynamic model and a physical prototype.
