Dear Friends and Supporters, Thank you for your vital support of The Kinkaid School. The strength of Kinkaid is our people — our Falcon Family community of students, faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends — united by our passion for our extraordinary school. This past year bore witness to our community supporting our mission and our students through philanthropy and volunteerism in ways and at levels never seen before at Kinkaid. Such historic support delivers a strong, distinctive experience for our current students and ensures continued excellence for future generations of Kinkaid students to come. Our Kinkaid Fund has had back-to-back record breaking years, with this past year’s total seven percent greater than the previous year’s record total. Your strong support of the Kinkaid Fund directly impacts teaching and learning at Kinkaid, and through your support of our Kinkaid Open Golf Tournament, Book Fair, Alumnae & Friends Luncheon, Field Day, and the Sporting Clay Benefit, we are building a thriving, energized community.

Dear Kinkaid Community, I have the joy and privilege of celebrating a monumental philanthropic year in the life of The Kinkaid School. Under the guidance of Kinkaid Fund Chair Stephanie Cockrell, gifts to the Kinkaid Fund once again broke all records. Our community generously donated $3,642,187, an amount $265,631 greater than the prior year. We are very grateful for her leadership and the efforts of a great group of parents, trustees, alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents who worked closely with our talented Advancement staff.

The Kinkaid School is grateful for these most recent gifts made through an estate. DR. TERENCE REED ESTATE Dr. Terence Reed graduated from The Kinkaid School in 1953. His father served as Head of the Upper School for many years. Dr. Reed established The Carl and Soni Reed Endowed Scholarship with a $62,000 gift to Kinkaid through a 10% residual beneficiary of his estate. The scholarship is named in memory of his parents to support a need-based scholarship awarded to a faculty member’s child/children.
DAMON WELLS ESTATE Damon Wells ’54 was a distinguished alum and former Trustee of The Kinkaid School. Mr. Wells was very generous to Kinkaid throughout his life, so naturally, he made a final gift of $1,000,000 in his will. Since he was well known as a historian, the Board decided to create the Damon Wells Endowed Chair in History to support the salary of a history teacher. BARBARA GRAHAM WILLIAMS ESTATE Barbara Graham Williams was a beloved Latin teacher in the Middle School at Kinkaid for 30 years. With a gift of $100,000 from her estate, she established the Barbara Graham Williams Middle School Latin Teacher Endowment to support the salary of the middle school Latin teacher.
