MANUFACTURING At Loenbro, we understand that every project has its challenges, including the need for specialty components. Loenbro welders hold AWS certification and are experienced in the welding of structural steel, pipelines, sheet metals and refinery piping. Certified welding inspectors are on staff to verify compliance with AWS protocols.

INSPECTION SERVICES Loenbro offers an extensive array of inspection services to meet the diverse needs of the many refineries, oil and gas companies in the Western U.S. Our inspectors have undergone intensive training and testing to ensure their ability to detect even the smallest imperfections and verify compliance with industry codes and regulations.

ASNT CERTIFICATIONS Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)

• Allows for the detection of cracks, pits, holes or other ﬂaws in the surface or subsurface of iron and steel pipes. Most commonly used for ﬁnal and in-process inspection.

Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT)

• NDT process utilized for extended visual inspection of surface-breaking ﬂaws on metal, plastics and other non-porous materials.

Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT)

• Using high frequency energy, UTT scans, measures and monitors metal, welds, bolts, coatings and other materials for corrosion, cracks, ﬂaws and imperfections. Requires access to only a single exterior surface, making it appropriate for in-ﬁeld/in-process testing of pipes, storage containers and other vessels.

Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing

• Because of its sensitivity, Shear Wave or Angled Beam Ultrasonic testing is effective in the detection and veriﬁcation of cracks and fusion defects. Loenbro evaluates not only the weld, but also any materials located within the heat-affected zone.

PHASED ARRAY TECHNOLOGY Loenbro was one of the first pipeline inspection companies in the west to offer phased array technology. Virtually eliminating potential radiation hazards and the need for system shutdowns, it is ideal for pipeline inspections in the field and in-process refinery systems. WELDING The goal of any pipeline welder is to create bonds that can withstand the pressure of the oil, gas and water passing through them, as well as the extreme environments surrounding them. Doing it, however, requires more than just a torch and a tank. It requires extensive training and skill. At Loenbro, our AWS-certified welders have the experience needed to complete miles of 2” to 14” pipeline quickly and with extreme precision. R-STAMP & U-STAMP CERTIFICATION

Loenbro is one of the few companies in Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas that is R-Stamp and U-Stamp certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Inspectors and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Pressure vessels bearing these stamps demonstrate compliance with ASME standards of construction and repair.

HEAT TREATING
