Park Board Meetings Park Board meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm at West Fargo City Hall.
Matching Funds Program The West Fargo Park District has matching fund dollars available for development of areas of special interest. These funds may only be utilized within West Fargo Park District facilities. Individuals or groups interested in pursuing a project are encouraged to contact Barb Erbstoesser, Executive Director, 433-5360.
Planting a Tree If you are interested in planting a tree in memory or in honor of someone special, contact the Park District at 433-5360.
Unattended Child Policy Because the West Fargo Park District cares about patrons, the following policy was adopted. We ask all parents and guardians to be on time when picking up their child from a West Fargo Park District activity or facility. Any child not picked up 20 minutes after an activity ends is considered an “unattended child." Program leaders will remain on site until all patrons have left the premises. However, after 20 minutes, the West Fargo Police Department will be contacted to pick up the child and escort him/her to the proper authorities. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult or a student age 14 or older.

Discovering Music This parent/child class is a great introduction to music. Parents will work hands-on with their child while being lead by Chaycie Kramer, KinderMusik instructor. Metro Youth Basketball League The West Fargo Park District is part of the FM Metro Basketball League. The FM Metro League consists of teams from the FM area and Casselton. The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of basketball through the development and operation of a supervised basketball program for 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls. The program will seek to develop and promote the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and skill development with emphasis on having fun. Free Exercise Program to Help Prevent Osteoporosis RSVP+ ND invites you to take part in Bone Builders, a FREE exercise program that strives to work against the negative effects of osteoporosis. By doing some simple weight training, individuals can protect themselves from osteoporosis related fractures by increasing muscle strength and bone density. Ongoing classes will meet twice weekly at the Veterans Memorial Arena. Benefits of the program are improved balance, increased energy and mobility and increased bone density. Meals are provided at Faith Lutheran Church (127 2nd Ave. E, West Fargo) Mondays through Fridays at noon by Valley Senior Services of Cass County. To register, call 356-2047 by noon on the day before your scheduled meal or sign up at the meal site. There is no set price, but a donation of $3.50 is suggested. Activities are scheduled usually on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays following the meal (such as monthly birthday celebration, bingo, games, speakers, tours, etc.). Where is Rustad Park located? 501 26th Avenue East, West Fargo – Rustad Park is located on a 10 acre site southwest of Costco between Freedom Elementary School and Trinity Catholic School and future church. Who owns Rustad Park? The West Fargo Park District. The park site is named after lifelong residents, Oscar and Martha Rustad and family who owned and farmed the property. What are some of the features in this facility? Phase I provides a 44,000 square foot facility which includes: 2 indoor high VFKRRO UHJXODWLRQ EDVNHWEDOO FRXUWV ZLWK UHVLOLHQW DWKOHWLF ÀRRULQJ D \RXWK gym, batting cages, 4 volleyball courts, meeting/event & program space, ODUJH OREE\ IRU JDWKHULQJV RXWGRRU SDWLR VSDFH VKXIÀH ERDUG DQG ERFFH ball courts, concession stand, 1/10 mile track with a track quality surface, retractable bleachers, restrooms and restrooms with showers, and Park District $GPLQLVWUDWLYH 2I¿FH $SSUR[LPDWHO\ SDUNLQJ VSDFHV ZLOO EH SURYLGHG :H SODQ WR FRRUGLQDWH ZLWK )UHHGRP (OHPHQWDU\ 6FKRRO IRU RYHUÀRZ SDUNLQJ IRU larger events on non-school days. It will be a great place for people to come and recreate. Who can use the Recreation Center and will I need a membership to use it? We welcome all public through the doors of the facility; there will be no membership or joining fee to enter the IDFLOLW\ ([SDQGHG DFWLYLWLHV DQG SURJUDPV ZLOO EH SURYLGHG IRU SHRSOH RI DOO DJHV RI DOO DELOLWLHV DQG LQWHUHVWV which will be scheduled by the West Fargo Park District recreation staff. Sweetheart Dance
The Sweetheart Dance will be held in February. Please watch for dates, location and time in December on wfparks.org. Dance to your favorite tunes, enjoy refreshments and a corsage for the lady.
