YANCEY ARIAS LEAD ACTOR / PRODUCER Yancey Arias is known for his break out performance as Miguel Cadenas in the NBC mini series “KINGPIN” and continues to thrive. Yancey also starred in the FX original series "THIEF". He co-starred in the critically acclaimed films "WALK OUT" on HBO in which he received a best supporting actor nomination, and "American Family" for PBS. He starred as Alex Torres in the NBC series “KNIGHT RIDER” by Gary Scott Thomson and Doug Liman. In 2010 Yancey took on the role as Director, Writer, and Producer of his award winning short film titled “BABY”. In 2011 Yancey starred in the films “AMERICA”, and “UNDOCUMENTED”. Yancey’s Broadway Theater Credits include "Miss Saigon" as Thuy, and "George Wolf's "The Wild Party" as Black. He was recently featured in episodes of the new ABC series “REVENGE”, CBS “BLUE BLOODS”, and CBS ELEMENTARY. In 2012 Yancey recently completed filming on the highly anticipated film “CHAVEZ” directed by Diego Luna, and produced by John Malcovich. The film stars Michael Pena, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera, John Malcovich, Jacob Vargaz, and Yancey Arias. The film is due out in 2013.
JOANNA VELARDE PRODUCER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Joanna Velarde is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she studied Communication and Business Administration. Her career in television production began internationally at a major television network in Spain on a magazine style lifestyle program. Joanna spent the next 12 years developing her skills in production and casting mainly within the educational programming and the non fiction reality world, having worked on shows for PBS, AMC, Biography Channel, Travel Channel and Style Network, among others. She is proud to have been an Associate Producer on 2 seasons of KCET's Emmy award-winning daytime talk show “A Place of Our Own”. In 2008, Joanna turned her focus towards independent film as a Producer and Production Manager. Past films include Pizza Man (Frankie Muniz, Shelley Long, Michael Gross) and Dorfman in Love (Sara Rue, Johann Urb, Elliott Gould). In 2010, Joanna co-founded The Film Imaginarium with her husband and producing team, and used her online marketing savvy to spearhead the Kickstarter campaign for their film,The Shooting Star Salesman. They successfully raised over $10,000 in 30 days and went into production shortly after. Joanna finds balance in life with her husband Kico, their two beautiful children, Elijah and Sophia, and the fantastic adventures they create for themselves!
