May 2017

What takes us back to the past are the memories What brings us forward is our dreams.

The Paintsville Rotary Club held its 2017 Honors Banquet on Tuesday, May 2, at the Ramada Inn. Twenty-three Johnson Central students were recognized and presented with plaques honoring their academic achievements. Those 23 students were: Leigh Ann Bentley, Maggie Quinn Bowling, Haley Burchett, Olivia Burchett, Kenzi Butcher, Andrew Chapman, John Austin Davis, Lauren Endicott, Katelyn Fields, Molly Francis, Madison Grierson, William Hedrick, David Hill, Brianna Jeffiers, Nini Lam, Gary Austin Ousley, Micailyn Pierce, Caleb Price, Sierra Reinthaler, Hannah Rice, Madison Saad, Haylee Sexton and Samantha Stapleton (19 of named students pictured).

Graduating with both big smiles and big honors were Brianna Jeffiers, left, and Hannah Rice.

Looking to the future – 2017 Johnson Central High School graduates (from left to right) Mya Ward, Mackenzie Crace, Haylee Sexton, Carley Howard, Patrick Clark, Ruthie Messer and Hannah Stapleton.

Sara Williams and Josh Belcher made a striking couple as they prepared to dance the night away at the 2017 JCHS Prom.

Senior Noah Frisby is holding tight to his girl, Kenzie Pemberton. Young love never looked so good!

Highly decorated honor students Sierra Reinthaler, left, and Lauryn Blanton are looking forward to bright futures.

Looking as though he has caught his very own little wood fairy, Ian Watkins, left, looks mesmerized by Trilby Cantrell as the seniors prepare to attend the 2017 JCHS Prom.

A vision of loveliness – 2017 JCHS grad Sydney Spradlin.

Looking like a garden of spring flowers in all shades of the rainbow were the lovely ladies of Johnson Central High School as they paraded across the football stadium field with their dates before attending the big bash of the year – Prom 2017!
