1.3 RAL COLOR CHART AND CHARACTERISTICS OF METAL FACES

Its metal faces can be covered by PVC protective film, plastisol, food safe paint or polyester. Coverings: • PVC protective film: -“Sanisteel” – antibacterial properties: a permanent food safe certificate is granted. It is a new protection system with high resistance to corrosion and scratches. The white PVC film thickness is 110-150 microns; -“AISMA” - a permanent food safe certificate is granted. The white PVC film thickness is 110 microns; • Plastisol – a certificate for temporary food contact is granted. Its thickness is 100 microns; • Food-safe paint - a certificate for temporary food contact is granted. Its thickness is 25 microns; • Polyester – can be used in food industry application, provided there is no requirement for food safe certificate, just a RAL 9010 requirement. Polyester protective layer has a thickness of 25 microns. The covering type will be chosen depending on the interior environment, and on the specific requirements.

ATTENTION! In case of subsequent deliveries, different shades of colors may appear, due to the use of new steel sheet coils. These differences shall not be considered subject of complaints. The RAL color chart does not provide any color tolerance. It is strongly recommended to order one or more additional panels, so as to avoid the above mentioned situation. Color samples from the above chart are indicative and may differ from RAL colors, due to printing.

PACKING TRANSPORT

Packages must be ensured by the carrier, using cross-straps and belts, mounted within maximum 3 m distance. Any package must have at least two cross-straps. The carrier is the solely responsible for the integrity of the cargo, therefore he must ensure that the pressure from the points of contact shall not cause damage, and that the belts do not cause deformation of the products. Special loading condition will be accepted only with the written consent of the customer, assuming thus full responsibility. The pallets are separated by polystyrene spacers, in order to create space for introducing the forklift forks or textile straps in between.

Before you start unloading the insulating panels, check the state of packages. Discharge operations shall be performed by using a forklift or a crane. Textile straps and beam spacers shall be used, which shall oversize the width of the panels on each side, by 50mm. Regardless the panel's length, the packages must be unloaded one by one. • Panels shorter than 6m can be lifted by a forklift or a crane, using textile straps; • Pallets longer than 6m must be handled by a crane having a balance beam, with textile straps placed within no more than 3m from the margins of the panels. Handling shall be done with great care, so as not to damage the pre-painted faces of the panels. Workers shall always wear protective gloves, to avoid cutting or scratching themselves.

STORAGE

To avoid damage to pre-painted surfaces, the panels – protected by protective film – are packed in packages, by size and color, directly on the production line. Polystyrene spacers are placed underneath each package and fixed with packaging foil, so as to vertically stack the packages. The number of panels in each package depends on the panel's thickness and length, and on customer's requirements. Each package shall be provided with a label, to ensure complete identification and traceability of the product. Wall panels: ISOPERn, ISOPERa, ISOFRIG are disposed in pair of two, with their outer faces on top. Roof panels: ISOAC3, ISOAC5, ISOBIT are placed having their outer ribs interspersed, for stability purposes and to occupy less space.

HANDLING

4. PACKING, TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND STORAGE

The packages shall be stored on uniform, smooth and hard surfaces, to avoid damaging the panels' surface. The packages shall be stored slightly inclined to allow rain water to runoff. It is forbidden to store the packages directly on the ground; polystyrene or wood supports shall be used. In case of stacking, polystyrene or wood supports (having a wide base) shall be used. No more than three packages can be overlapped. It is forbidden to walk directly on the packages. In case of panels being stored in uncovered areas, for a longer time, ensure adequate protection (use tilts) against rainwater, snow, wind and contamination. Protective film – used to ensure protection of the panels during transport, should be removed immediately after installation, but no later than 3 months from delivery, if the panels remain in storage. Individual handling of panels (so as to remove the protective film) shall only be made by qualified personnel. It is forbidden to lift the panel solely by grabbing its upper metal face, as there is the risk of detaching the metal sheet from the foam core. Packages that are partially packed and individual panels as well will be secured with straps or protected from strong winds.

5. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSEMBLY

Panels' assembly shall only be performed by qualified personnel Insulating panels shall not be installed on snowy, windy or foggy weather. Panel assembly works should be stopped when visibility is reduced at sunset and if no artificial lighting is available. All activities related to the assembly of the insulating panels must be done complying with the applicable occupational health and safety regulations , roof installation and roof boarding works, and under "Technical Conditions for the construction and assembly" (Part I - General construction works - Prepared by ITB - Institute for Research in Construction), under the supervision of authorized personnel. The working perimeter will be fenced and flagged accordingly. During lifting and mounting, the panels will be provided with safety ropes or straps. Qualified personnel working at heights shall be provided with safety belts.

Assembly devices The use of a crane is the most convenient method for lifting panels from the package. You can use several lifting tools, such as vacuum devices with suction cups, clamps and straps or ropes. In case of shorter panels, handling and transport can be done manually. Handling and horizontal displacement of the panel can only be done with the panel positioned on its edge. Workers shall wear protective gloves. It is forbidden to lift the panel solely by grabbing its upper metal face, as there is the risk of detaching the metal sheet from the foam core.

Taking panels and their transfer

For clamping the panels at height, a lifting device with basket should be used. The metal edges of the basket, which are likely to come into contact with the panel, shall be covered by textile/spongy materials etc.

Preliminary works Before starting the installation of panels, check the alignment of the support elements along their length, any discrepancies should be rectified. The number and type of support wedges should be provided by the construction engineer, depending on the wind load from that particular area, or on the snow load - for roof panels. It is recommended that the distance between the wedges should not exceed 1.5m, thus ensuring a better fastening of the panels.

5.1 WALL PANELS Horizontally assembled panels: The assembly begins from the bottom, only after the dripstone has been installed at the socle. The panels shall be placed having the maleside up (for normal joint panels), and the fixing screws side up (for hidden joint wall panels). Then, the second panel is placed, by complying with the female-male joint, and the next panel is pushed into the joint area (manual push or by specific mechanical devices), ensuring though a minimum joint gap. Fixing shall be done using self drilling screws. During installation, the protective film shall be detached from the metal faces of the panels, if this operation has not already been done previously. Vertically assembled panels: The dripstone shall be fixed onto the existing structure, in the socle area. The first panel shall be fastened on the corner of the building, using self drilling screws, and the panel's verticality must be ensured on both directions. Then, the second panel is fixed, by complying with the female-male joint, and the next panel is pushed into the joint area (manual push or by specific mechanical devices), ensuring though a minimum joint gap, without damaging the panels. Fixing shall be done using self drilling screws. During installation, the protective film shall be detached from the metal faces of the panels, if this operation has not already been done previously. Fixing screws: Type and dimensions of the screws shall be selected depending on the type of structure, type and thickness of the panels. Three screws shall be provided on the 1m width of panel (one in the middle, and two at the edges). The panel shall be fixed on each wedge support, thus ensuring a total number of 4 screws /sqm panel. If case of hidden joint wall panels, the hidden edge is fastened with at least one screw, right next to each intermediate support and the edges will be fastened outside the hidden screw, with 2 additional screws that shall be covered later on

1.000 m m

with flashings. A fastening system shall also be provided at

1.000 m m

the socle (only for hidden joint wall panels).

1.500 mm

For fixing the tightening screws it is recommended to use Support cotter Fixing sc rews 3 pieces / linear m et

special screwing tools, having long clamping heads, and with relative depth adjustment feature of the screw head.

er

Cutting / gap cutting: If it is necessary to cut the panels (in the gap area, or at the edge of the building), panel cutting shall be done by positioning the panel on a flat surface. Use an electric lamellar saw, but previously ensure that you have positioned the panel on a support (wooden ruler) on the entire length of cut. It is strongly recommended to position a wooden ruler along the cut, on the upper side of the panel, eliminating thus the risk of detaching the metal faces from the foam core. It is forbidden to use flex disc type machines, grinders or other machines that can cause overheating of the surface in the cutting area, and therefore damage the corrosion protection.

Concealing profiles: Concealing profiles made of steel sheet shall be provided in the joint area of the panels (head to head, corner, wall/roof, socle, around the gaps etc). These profiles shall be fixed on the panels or on the structure, with rivets or fixing screws (at least 3 pieces/linear meter).

5. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSEMBLY 5.2 ROOF PANELS Assembly devices: The use of a crane is the most convenient method for roof panel assembly. Panels can be lifted one-by-one from the package, using metal clamps provided with tightening screws and rubber pads in the contact area. A crane should be used when lifting the entire package. In this case, the storage of the package onto the roof structure should be done in the frame area, under the chief engineer's disposal.

Preliminary works: Before starting the installation of panels, check the alignment of the support elements along their length, the squareness between the roof edge and eaves direction, and every discrepancy should be rectified. Assembly: The assembly begins from one end of the roof, chosen in such a manner that the mounting direction must be in the opposite direction of the wind blow. Fix the first panel with drilling screws only after ensuring the panel alignment to the eaves and roof edge. Screws are provided with metal Assembly direction caps to increase the contact surface, and shall be positioned for each rib, right next to the support wedges. On the top side of the last rib of the panel, a string of silicone or butyl tape shall be used. On the joint tongue Cap and a string of fireproof paste shall be used. After that, the next panel can be fixing screw fixed (by complying with the joint), so that the free rib of the panel should fold over the last rib of the previous panel. Silicon string You should use specific tightening devices for pressing the panels into 2nd panel the joints, ensuring though a minimum joint gap, without damaging the panels. 1st panel A self drilling screw shall be introduced in the joint, having a metal cap that ensures fixing the panel to the steel structure. Two additional screws shall be provided (right next to the ribs) for fixing the panel so that the number of screws to be at least 3 per linear meter (on width of the panel) Fireproof paste string and at least 4 pieces per square meter of panel. The process repeats, and the panels shall be mounted one by one. In case the pitch can not be covered on its entire length by a single panel, two panels shall be positioned head to head, but with the pre-cut panel Roof cotters positioned towards the ridge.Pre-cutting of panels (cutting the interior metal face of the panel and the foam – without detaching) is a procedure performed in the factory. The pre-cut interior metal face and the core shall be removed after delivery, on the construction site, before installation. In this case panel assembly begins from the eaves (and from the roof's edge), and after fixing the first panel, the pre-cut panel (the one towards the ridge) shall be fastened. In the overlapping area, 2 silicon strings or butyl tapes shall be placed on the exterior metal face of the panel from eaves. This in to ensure that no water infiltration occurs after folding the metal sheet of the panel near the ridge. If a gap-joint combination results in the core area, after assembly, you should fill it up with polyurethane foam. Each edge of the panel should be provided with a support (at least 5cm) so that it is possible to fasten the panel edges to the support structure. The folding metal sheet shall be fastened to the panel from the eaves with stitching screws, at least 3 pieces per linear meter.

Wind direction

Concealing profiles: The steel sheet concealing profiles shall be provided to cover the edges of the roof panels and they shall be fixed on the panels or on the structure, with rivets or fixing screws (at least 3 pieces/linear meter). Joining the panels from ridge shall be provided with an outer covering, represented by a ridge profile made of steel sheet, which shall be fastened to the panels (in the ribs area). An expanded polypropylene insulation is positioned under the ridge profile, and its shape shall be similar to the roof panels' profile. On the inner side, an inner-ridge profile can be fixed, which shall mask the gap-joint combination (if any). This gap-joint combination resulted from joining the panels at ridge, shall be filled up with polyurethane foam.
