Dear Kansas City Golfers, On behalf of the 15,000 members of the Kansas City Golf Association, thank you for your support of golf in Kansas City. As a member of the KCGA, you are already helping to serve, promote, and grow the amateur golf community in the Kansas City regional area. Once again, the Kansas City Golf Association will serve the game of golf by conducting nearly a hundred different competitions in 2014. Collectively our volunteers and staff will oversee over 6,000 rounds of competitive golf this season. The impact we have on golf can be attributed to the support of our wonderful facilities, dedicated volunteers and you our individual members. I hope you will take the time to join the golfing action at one of our regional championships or perhaps as a member of your local Kansas City Cup team. The Kansas City Cup will be entering its 22nd year in 2014 and continues to be the largest competition in the greater Kansas City area, impacting over 1,500 golfers each year. We also hope you keep the next generation of golf strong by promoting the Kansas City Junior Tour. For over fifty years, the Kansas City Junior Tour has served junior golfers in the Kansas City area. In 2014, we will host eleven KC Junior Tour events for boys and girls ages 10 – 18. The list of touring and club professionals that have come through the KC Junior Tour over the years is quite amazing and we hope that the tour can be equally as impactful over the next fifty years. The KCGA continues to grow its foundation and pledge support to amateur golf in the greater Kansas City area. This year’s activities include funding deserving young golfers with financial need, giving standout girl players a chance to see the best the LPGA firsthand, and developing an interclub competition for youth play. We hope that you will assist in the growth of the game whether it is through the KCGA foundation or supporting the programs at your local club. Once again, thank you for your membership in the KCGA and for your support and devotion to the game of golf. Sincerely,

Taylor McCann KCGA President
