This invitation-only event will welcome the 2013 addition to Winterfest’s star-studded history of Grand Marshals amidst local VIPs, dignitaries and sponsors. The Grand Marshal will receive the keys from the Mayors of Broward County and the City of Fort Lauderdale. Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale will present a brick for the Riverwalk Celebrity Walk of Fame in their honor.

Lauren is 15-years-old, fighting stage IV high-risk Neuroblastoma and the cancer has spread into her bone marrow. She is a true fighter and remains optimistic as she continues her treatment. Her strong-will is inspirational. Lauren has grown into a very beautiful, mature young woman and is an advocate for children and young adults facing cancer. Once she can put the illness behind her, she hopes to one day become a pediatric oncologist! “Even with all of the bad that has occurred, I’ve continued to persevere and look at the positivity.
