I

t's hard not to mention above all the wave of heinous attacks that France experienced on Black Friday, November 13th, 2015. But in this formidable challenge, we were comforted in general as well as in the small world of karting, by the courage and dignity of some and by the solidarity shown by many countries. All is not lost, even though this dark page will be difficult to turn. After the CIK-FIA World Championships last month, International karting has proven its vitality with the one-make events, each with its own philosophy. On the same weekend, the IAME International Final gathered 326

Less than a month later, the Rotax Grand Final gathered 360 entries including the Micro and Mini Max. Undoubtedly, karting is able to attract the crowds! While the KF and KF-Juniors competed in their last international event at the WSK Final Cup at Adria, the CIK-FIA was beginning the homologation of the new OK and OK-Junior engines, while preparing a promotional campaign to mark the new era of

high-level competition. The bet is not yet won, but the enthusiasm of some of the professional drivers, and federations, gives strong hope for the recovery of this leading sector of the discipline. Certainly, France is not having an easy end to the year. After the turmoil of the French Championship for Minime and Cadet regarding the compliance of a large number of chassis, the FFSA has itself entered a turbulent period in this direction. Everyone looks forward to reaching the light at the end of the tunnel.

ACTION KARTING GRAND NEW LOCATION IN LYON www.actionkarting.fr

A page was turned on Monday, October 19th, 2015 with the inauguration of the new Action Karting facilities in Saint Laurent de Mure. Not long after a fire ravaged the old premises, Action Karting fittingly celebrated its rebirth in the presence of its loyal partners. After a difficult time surviving without ever ceasing operations despite being in turmoil, the Dannonay family has returned to the scene in the most beautiful way, obviously stronger than ever.

THEA POWERFUL X30 SUPER, ENGINE COMING SOON FROM IAME In the aftermath of a particularly successful International Final at Le Mans, IAME announces an exciting new engine for 2016. With input from its high level competition experience and on the other hand the growing success of the X30 through the world, the Italian company has developed the ultimate non-gearbox kart engine. The expected performance should far exceed anything in current direct drive karts. There is talk of a gain on the order of a second per lap compared to a current KF.

A

formal presentation was made in Lyon during the inauguration of the new Action Karting buildings. The new 175cc provides a power gain with a maximum speed of 16,000 RPM, without a power valve, and retains all the advantages of the X30 in terms of ease of use. Aimed at experienced thrill seeking drivers, the Super X30 should be the subject of a specific competition for a selection of experienced drivers as part of a more substantial European racing programme in 2016.

THE CIK SPOILERS ARE URGENTLY REQUESTED FOR ALL RACES! The principle is now accepted, and those who were opposed at first are now in favour of the movable spoilers established by the CIK-FIA this year. The two major competitions last weekend brought more proof, at Le Mans for the IAME International Final and at the final of the Rok Cup at Lonato, the races were often been disrupted by clashes due to the bad habits of some drivers.

M

anagement of these malicious acts by officials didn't seem possible with the previous state of affairs, but a large majority of competitors and professionals fervently hope for universal usage of the CIK spoilers, a view that has changed since the beginning of the season. The organisers of the IAME Final have promised it for 2016, and the FFSA are expected to vote soon on the subject, bearing in mind the numerous incidents this year, including in National, which could have been avoided with the new spoilers. There will always be irreconcilable opponents to the system, due to a few cases of unjust sanctions, but removable spoilers have shown overwhelmingly that they prevent a lot of aggression and other injustices that often go unpunished. There is no reason to delay their entry on to the track any longer!

THE OK GENERATION IS ON TRACK AT IAME

With long discussions between the sporting authorities and the different manufacturers, and many tests on the track, the development of the next generation of engines has lasted more than three years. The Italian IAME factory has collaborated actively in this process, even though the final OK specification is not completely in line with its proposals, and the race has now started on this new basis in the same way for everyone.

IAME

has until now been very discreet about the development of its OK and OK-Junior engines. "Once the OK concept was permanently fixed, we launched a major development programme," Andrea Bossaglia told us. "Since the beginning of the year, several technicians were assigned full time to the OK programme. For testing, we worked closely with BirelART and Praga, and it has really advanced. IAME is more than ever involved in the search for performance and winning international titles remains a priority. There is no reason for it to go differently in OK and OK-Junior. The homologation process is underway and production is ready to start based on the latest developments to ensure deliveries in January 2016 ". The future regulation is less restrictive than it was at the launch of KF in 2007 and the transition will happen much more naturally. This time, the engines from the main factories will probably all be ready to race from the start of next season. But something tells us that the IAME will be particularly well placed in this new challenge ...

CIK-FIA: A NEW RACE On the proposal of the WSK Promotion, validated by the International Karting Commission, it has been decided to change the format of its Competitions from 2016.

T

his is to increase the track time before the start of the Competition and facilitate testing and the development of equipment without requiring a prior trip. The savings may be substantial. This innovation will concern the CIK-FIA European Championships and World Championships and the CIK-FIA International Super Cup for KZ2.

2016 RACE FORMAT

• On the Monday of the week preceding the Competition until Tuesday directly preceding the Competition, no driving will be allowed on the track in question. • Wednesday and Thursday preceding the Competition will be spent on private testing under the responsibility of the organiser.

E FORMAT FOR 2016 • The Administrative checks and scrutineering, including the marking of equipment (chassis, engine and tyres), will be held on Thursday afternoon (from 15:00). • Friday: official Free Practice followed in the late afternoon by the Qualifying Practice. • Saturday: warm-up, then the Qualifying Heats.

• Sunday: warm-up, more Qualifying Heats if necessary, Prefinals and Finals. The Second Chance Heats are removed, and all categories will compete in two Prefinals, when there are more than 34 Drivers, of which the top 17 will qualify for the Finals.

In addition to those already awarded at the end of the Qualifying Heats and Finals, points will now be awarded for the Prefinals on the following scale: 1st 17 points, 2nd 16 points, 3rd 15 points, and so on to 17th.

154 KARTS FOR ROTAX WORLD FINALS! For the 16th edition of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, BRP Powertrain is pleased to be able to rely on longstanding partners to provide the chassis for the global event. For the 6th consecutive year, Sodikart, a French company and the world's top kart manufacturer, was selected as an official supplier for the international Rotax race meeting. In 2015, Sodi will make frames available to the competitors in two of the four categories at the competition in Portugal.

B

ertrand Pignolet, the CEO of Sodikart, shares his excitement about this new challenge: "Since 1988, Sodikart has had a close and strong relationship with Rotax. In November 2015, for the 6th consecutive year, Sodikart will be proud to participate in the biggest karting event of the year: the Rotax Grand Final. In a major development for the 16th event, Sodikart has the challenge of being the chassis supplier in two categories, Senior and DD2 Master. Sodikart certainly has the experience and the resources, both human and technical, to fulfill the mission. The Sodikart team has stepped up its efforts to further increase the quality of the equipment and supply the drivers

with fantastic Sodi Sigma RS and DD2. We will meet in Portugal for this unforgettable event." Building, assembling, inspecting and shipping 158 racing karts is not an easy task. The different departments of the Nantes factory; Design, Production, Logistics and Events, have worked closely for several months in carrying out the preparation for the appointment at Portimao. Who better than the world's leading kart manufacturer to take on this difficult task? Renowned for its perfect organisation and the quality of its products, Sodikart has risen to the challenge with its usual gusto.

For the two categories, no less than 154 complete karts have been assembled with the utmost rigor, 77 Sigma RS Senior and 77 DD2 complete karts, plus five spare karts in each category. In total, over three tons of metal (steel technology) were used, 500m of tube and 250m of welding. The transport of the equipment alone required five articulated lorries and two support vehicles. A dozen people are there to manage logistics in addition to all of the representatives at the disposal of customers and to present the Sodi range. The three factory drivers will also be present, with Arnaud Kozlinski being the captain of Team France.

JORDON LENNOX-LAMB: THE VIEW OF A TOP DRIVER ON OK ENGINES The Briton Jordon Lennox-Lamb has extensive experience of high-level karting. The Vice-World Champion in KF in 2015, he has actively participated in the development of the new OK engines with the IAME factory. He has delivered a highly relevant analysis of the new generation of direct-drive kart engines which will come into use from 2016. I'm really enthusiastic about the OK engines. The introduction of a simplified exhaust valve and a one-make exhaust are excellent decisions to facilitate the wider deployment of these engines in every country. The OK engine is very nice to drive. Its maximum speed and how it is achieved, combined with the lightness of everything, provides thrills that had been forgotten. In comparative tests, an OK kart proved to be half a second faster than a KF at Lonato. In the same vein, still at Lonato, the top speed is not achieved at the end of the straight, but later, after the wide curve, because the OK can accelerate for longer.“

sensitivity to the kart's grip to avoid locking the rear wheels. Some are already saying that OK will be more physical to drive, but again, this is positive for developing good drivers. For me, this is not a problem and I think it is not bad that young people need to work on their fitness more!“

“Like everyone else, I hope that the different brands will be close in performance from the start of the season to avoid a possible arms race to make up the gap. The management of the races in OK-Junior remains subject to a number of questions, as the 13-15 age group will need to get used to the disappearance of the clutch and “It is close to the sensations produced by the old the starter. But I am convinced that OK engines 100cc. The removal of the hand-controlled front have the potential to fulfill their goal and attract a brakes follows the same logic. The talent of the greater number of drivers worldwide. From next year, we will create a real continuity with the team DR Racing Kart team with DR Formula Racing. This is what attracts customers today. DOESN'T CARS ATTRACT KART DRIVERS TOO EARLY? - It is a huge problem. Basically, I am not in favour of moving to cars before age 18, 15 years old is very young. But firstly, everyone does it because it is now allowed, and secondly karting does not offer many alternatives after KFJunior. Why should young drivers open to learning race in KF against professional drivers supported by factories? Apart from two or three exceptions, the others know they have no chance. I understand their lack of enthusiasm for spending their money without ever

hoping to shine. They can complete a season in F4 with a still reasonable budget in a young grid of the same age. HOW DO YOU SEE THE FUTURE OF COMPETITION KARTING WITH OK ENGINES? I'm not thrilled with the new regulation because I do not understand where it is coming from. Lower costs have been predicted, but I am not at all convinced. The KF engines and especially the KFJunior had reached a good level of development. Now we introduce a new regulation, with all the risks and investments that includes and why? The only real difference is the elimination of the clutch and the push starting. I'm not sure it meets the needs of professionals, or whether it will attract a greater number of drivers. I wonder who made these decisions, from what analysis and for what purpose. I hope I am wrong and that the OK will experience a great achievement, but frankly I do

not believe it will. The number of karting drivers is not the problem: we can see that they are more numerous than ever in the one-make competitions. On the contrary, it is the top level that is in a difficult situation. I am not accusing anyone. It is always easy to criticise and much harder to make good proposals. Nevertheless, I regret that there has been no real discussions with the whole paddock to get there. I fear that most representatives of the ASNs, who have the power to vote and then decide, do not really understand all the facts of the situation. We do not see them in the paddock or by the side of the track often. Moreover, it is not very serious for them if their decisions are not followed by the expected effects they don't belong to a company with an obligation to produce results. But again, I hope I'm wrong ...

a coach who knows his subject

A former member of the FFSA Team France Karting, before moving into cars and GT, Stéphane Daoudi has gradually found his soul as a coach to the point that his professional life is now devoted mainly to this activity. This motorsport enthusiast has strong arguments to support young drivers to move up a level.

STÉPHANE, START WITH YOUR SPORTING CAREER ... - After karting, I started out in cars as French Vice-Champion in Formula Renault and a victory in Eurocup that allowed me to get a contract with a major partner in the tobacco sector, capable of taking drivers to Formula 1. The sponsorship ban on cigarettes since the introduction of the "Loi Evin" stopped my momentum after F3. So I got quickly turned to GT and endurance racing where I had the chance to win races in all the championships in which I participated. I got more the top fives in the major international endurance races (24h of Spa, Sebring, Road Atlanta, FIA GT, Le Mans Series, etc ...) Of my eight entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, I was on the podium three

with some of them after leaving the FFSA. I've realised that on the ground that the experience of a good driver could help young people, from the moment one knows how to transmit his knowledge. Having obtained the State Diploma (DEJEPS) in sports development in motorsport, it gave me the legitimacy to continue in this direction. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE THE ATTITUDE OF AN EFFECTIVE COACH?

times in my category and above all I managed to progress as a professional driver for over 20 years, sometimes sharing the wheel with the Gentlemen Drivers. Moreover, it is with them that I discovered that I could use my experience to make rapid progress. In team races, I was measuring the progress of my team by the ranking of our car, which was very motivating! HOW DID YOU COME TO WORK WITH YOUNG DRIVERS? - I worked at the FFSA for eight years, particularly in the Pole Haut Niveau. In charge of the French Teams, I have closely followed Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, Anthoine Hubert and Dorian Boccolacci and I continued to work

In front of every coach is a deliberate choice not to be a stopgap. Then you must know how to evaluate the driver you are working with. Depending on his age, maturity and level, the steps are not the same. It is useless to explain to beginners how to take pole if their driving technique does not allow for it. It is important to adapt the advice to their pace and progress to achieve results. It is above all a professional relationship with the goal of making progress following a structured approach with the tools to quantify progress. All prospective young champions have now realised the value of having a physical and mental trainer, and the coach is part of the environment to bring them more in terms of control. Once the driver notices that he has improved his time by following my advice, complicity and a real trust are established. He knows that doing so will save time on the track especially in the Championships where the testing is very limited. Video is now a very effective tool that I use as often as possible, but you must still be capable of good image analysis. I confess that I have always had an eye for it. Then we should not mix genres. The coach should not interfere in the work of the engineers, but the opposite is also true ... I can read data acquisition but I never look at it because it only concerns the engineers in the technical aspect and the development of the behaviour of the car, while the driving only is the only responsibility of the coach, like in any other sport. Only when these roles are well defined that can this framework be really effective.

I am there to optimise the performance of the driver, helping him work on his feeling at the wheel and teaching him to communicate with his engineer. As it is impossible for a young driver to see what represents a percentage of pressure on the brake pedal or a change in the braking curve, I prefer to give visual cues and tips on the track that are easier to assimilate for young people, often lost in a mountain of data. I assume that the fastest driver does not always proceed in the same way as other otherwise they would not be better! Staying practical is important in helping a driver to recognise sensations behind the wheel, visual cues, knowing where to start and finish his braking, which lines to use, etc. This is much more effective than focusing on computer curves that the engineers use to optimise the setup of the car. WHAT ARE YOUR PROJECTS PROFESSIONALLY? I am still as passionate about racing as ever. I race whenever there is a good opportunity. I also work with high-end car manufacturers at events they organise to retain their privileged customers by offering coaching, speed introductions and drifting. But my main activity is coaching young drivers, preferably starting out promisingly and wanting to race at the highest level, with whom I can start a lasting relationship and thus make significant progress. Given the time I devote to each driver, I do not want to manage more than two at once, in different categories. I appreciate the work all the more and I get great satisfaction from the drivers I work with.

DISAPPOINTMENT PREVAILS DESPITE MAXIME POTTY'S PERFORMANCE AT LE MANS

F

ast from qualifying onwards at the IAME International Final, Maxime Potty performed exceptionally well during the qualifying heats on the Le Mans circuit. Twice a winner, twice 2nd and once 3rd, the front runner in the X30 Senior class suffered with an ignition problem and a broken reed valve in the second race. Despite this retirement which cost him dearly, the

RGP driver kept his chances by placing his Kosmic 11th for the start of the Prefinal. "The meeting had a really good start!" said Maxime. "I was not necessarily fastest, but I always managed to move forward from the second row. I dominated my compatriots on all occasions in the heats. Without the technical problem and the retirement in the

second heat, I could have been on top. But I knew that the situation was still favourable for the Prefinal." From the fifth row he moved up on the starting line but then was pushed a little later into the banking. "I am both disappointed and angry. Some of these drivers behaved unacceptably. I'm not the only one to regret

the absence of the CIK releasable spoilers. I ended up 20th on the first lap and then my engine had consecutive ignition problems. I couldn't do anything about it and I had to drag myself to 30th."

victory as he deserved. "I made a good start and I immediately pushed hard. I was already back up to 14th on lap 5 out of 21 and I thought I could continue at this pace. And then I started to feel a loss of grip. My kart began to slip, I had to work hard to Maxime was determined to succeed in the turn. I didn't understand. Our set-up was Final to clear the memory of the disastrous good, and neither the team nor I had made Prefinal, but failed to be able to fight for a mistake. We wondered afterwards if one

YOHAN SOUSA ON THE PODIUM OF THE IAME INTERNATIONAL FINAL O

n the French circuit, Le Mans International Karting, Yohan Sousa took 3rd place in the International Final in the IAME X30 Super Shifter category, won by the United Arab Emirates driver Sean Babington. At the competition held from October 14th to 18th, the Portuguese driver drove at the maximum and finally interfered in the fight for victory with the fastest lap of 53''735, a 92,7 km / h average. Yohan Sousa, who is only 15 years old, is of course very happy with this result, his first international podium, achieved during a high-profile event bringing together 329 competitors in four separate categories. The 3rd place obtained by Yohan Sousa at the IAME International Final is all the more remarkable as it was achieved in the most demanding category, X30 Super Shifter, equipped with the powerful 175cc engine and a six-speed gearbox. In

qualifying, the driver from Entroncamento at the wheel of a Zanardi chassis (Parilla engines and Komet tyres were mandatory for all) posted the 4th fastest time of the session which included the fastest, the Italian Matteo Vigano (Topkart). After the four qualifying heats, Yohan Sousa was in 7th position with a win and a 3rd place which partially compensated for two incidents, resulting in 15th and 22nd places.

on the grid, it is clear that any driver would think about victory, but I'm very happy with 3rd place that allowed me on to the international podium for the first time. Again, Paul Barreiro has done an excellent job on my kart and I owe much of this, and my father who tirelessly supports my career in karting, my family, and my sponsors. MILESI REWARDED WITH A 2 PLA THE WSK FINAL CU C ND

harles Milesi ended his second season in KFJunior beautifully. As well as a flattering result it was his fighting spirit that impressed on the Adria circuit. As quick as usual, the Tony Kart factory driver didn't give up in the many fights in the WSK Final Cup to finally reach the second step of the podium. A big step has certainly been taken during the last European race of the year and Charles can now look forward to the coming season with strong ambitions. With 57 drivers including the top specialists, KF-Junior was looking strong on the Adria Karting Raceway for it's last major appearance. Charles opened the hostilities with

3rd position in timed qualifying, 8/100 off pole position, and won his first two qualifying heats. Returning to 6th in his third heat after a rocky start, the end of the race under yellow Slow flags stopped him from making further progress. Pushed in the last race, he came up from 23rd to 10th position. The fight was even more bitter in Prefinal A, but Charles showed great tenacity to defend his position. Leader for six laps, he was repulsed to 5th position before recovering to finish 2nd, while posting the second fastest lap. The Final took place with a similar scenario, after a difficult start facing opponents who weren't always consistent. However, Charles didn't give up in 8th position and forced his way into the top five in mid-race. He seized his chance on lap 14 and jumped into 2nd position during a scuffle in the leading group. The leader had escaped and Charles secured the second step of the podium at a safe distance from his pursuers. "The weekend was very hectic, but I'm happy to be able to fight to the end for the podium," Charles said at the end. "I was not intimidated by the fighting around me, it made me even more motivated to attack. Pure speed was not a problem considering the quality of the equipment provided by the Tony Kart Racing Team. I think I did a good job in the middle of many battles and this 2nd place is a great reward!"

PEISSELON: INVIGORATING EXPERI A

season-ending race without any pressure other than preparing for the future, the WSK Final Cup helped Timothy Peisselon to regain his confidence and passion for racingwith a very strong machine. "From the first running at Lonato, I felt quite comfortable at RFM," the Var driver explained with an undisguised smile. "The typical British atmosphere is serious, but relaxed. We had five drivers entered in KF-Junior at Adria, allowing us to rapidly advance the development of the equipment. The FA Kart chassis surprised me with its easy steering and the Vortex engine prepared by One Engines was also at the top. I quickly achieved a good feeling and I was able to focus on the progress of the race." Stuck in traffic for timed practice, Timothy upped the pace throughout the qualifying heats: 9th, 5th, 5th and 3rd in the end, clearly delighted to fight in lively packs. The battle proved more intense during his Prefinal, but he managed to rebuild the deficit in the middle of the race to finish in 6th position. Timothy moved up to 8th place in the Final before losing ground in the growing agitation of the last few laps and was ranked 14th in the competition. Given his performance and form, the result could have been even higher, but it is still his best of the season. "I was able to work effectively throughout the weekend, enjoying the advice I was given, without having to worry about the competitiveness of my machine. It's a real pleasure to race in these conditions. The experience did me a lot of good, and I took the opportunity to improve my English! I do not know yet which team I will race with in 2016, but this race with the Ricky Flynn Motorsport will remain a great memory."

FELIX WARGÉ REACHES THE FINAL WITH TYS RACING TEAM T he young Belgian driver Felix Wargé had an outstanding adventure at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals at Portimao with a place in the Senior Final, in 26th, despite a competition peppered with various incidents.

Spotted four years ago on an indoor track, Felix made a remarkable debut in Junior Max with the Tys Racing Team. 5th in the Belgian Max Challenge in 2013 and 3rd in the BNL in 2014, Felix joined the Senior category in 2015 because of his size. At 15, he won the Belgian Max Challenge, a first for a rookie in Belgium! That was how he got his ticket to the Rotax Grand Final at Portimao. With a difficult time with his engine at the beginning of the meeting, Felix posted 49th in Qualifying which doesn't reflect his level. He fought courageously in the Qualifying Heats to return from his 25th place on the grid despite continuing mechanical problems and fierce battles on the track. As such, his rise to 21st position was exemplary. Hope came back for the Finals, having finally solved his Rotax engine problem. The start of the Prefinal was hectic, but it was mostly a clash on the 11th lap that dropped Felix to 29th position. Motivated as ever, the Tys Racing Team driver gave his maximum in the Final. Again, his progress was slowed this time because of brake trouble, but he could still add an interesting 26th place to his tally. "Finishing 26th in this global competition is not really the result I expected," admitted Felix. "But after all the technical difficulties we encountered, as well as numerous incidents

on the track, we can consider that this is a good performance for a first year in Seniors, given the very high standard of competition." Created three years ago by Tys Design, a recognised specialist in painting helmets, the Tys Racing Team is a specialised operation in Rotax competition in Belgium fueled by passion. The young French and Belgian drivers race on OTK chassis with Inkartad engines with encouraging successes. Working closely with Christophe Adams, Tys Racing Team also won the X30 Veteran class this year in the IAME International Final at Le Mans. In addition to its programme in Belgium, Tys Racing Team plans to participate in NSK next season in France as well as the Rotax Euro Challenge.

This hierarchy was also duplicated at the end of the qualifying heats but also during Final 3. Imbourg tried everything to stop the leader, but Henrion recorded three consecutive victories and won the title in front of Imbourg and Martins. FRENCH CADET CHAMP

PION WITH PANACHE lready a winner of the French Cup for Cadet in July at Saint-Amand, Gillian Henrion confirmed his spectacular ascent in his first season in the 11-15 age category in the most beautiful way by dominating from start to finish in the French Championship on the Aunay-les-Bois International Circuit.

A

Taking the maximum possible points total of 202, Gillian Henrion was crowned the 2015 French Cadet Champion after a faultless run throughout the competition. An undeniable success rewarding a successful season. Good prospects are now open to Gillian for the rest of his career.

As he was in the first group during timed practice, the group which had to deal with the worst track conditions, Gillian wasn't far from pole in the competitive class with 50 participants. The tone was set. Fast and steady, the driver from the FFSA 10-15 Programme took three victories in three heats, with two matching the fastest lap, ending each time a long way ahead of his opponents.

"I'm obviously very pleased to have won the French Championship!" Gillian commented. "It was my ambition and I was well prepared for it. But we never know if it can happen in the race. I was able to rely on highly effective equipment throughout the meeting, as my team perfectly managed the small changes in track conditions. I stayed very focused and I made it a point of honour to win the last final as well, even though I was already champion before the start. I want to thank two people who particularly helped me this year. My mechanic Fabrizio, who is excellent, and Marc Berteaux who always believed in me in the FFSA 10-15 Programme. I am now thinking about 2016, which will be my first international season. The research has started into good partners who will give us every chance of succeeding."

His points lead after the qualifying heats was good, but he still had to maintain the level of performance during the three decisive finals. Indeed the new format of the FFSA French Karting Championships has three races and only the top two are used for the general classification. Despite increasing pressure from determined rivals, Gillian didn't decrease the pace and fought for another victory and the fastest lap of the first final. In the next he led from the start, and reached his goal in Final 2 with a once again hard fought victory. Assured of the title, Gillian fought like a lion in the third race and clinched his third victory by withstanding an unstoppable attack on the last lap against the very fast Thomas Imbourg.

Moineault wanted to finish the season in style. He succeeded with this by winning the last race at Le Castellet. Simo Laaksonen fought for 2nd position with Sacha Fenestraz while Gabriel Aubry let them go because of his tired tyres. The battle did not ease off in the pack, causing some incidents. For his first competition in F4, Hugo Chevalier did very well, including his 9th place in this race.
