Karen Zhou is the editor-in-chief of The Window magazine at the University of Toronto, where she is pursuing an honours double major in English Literature and Philosophy. After relocating to Canada in her teens, she fell in love with the language of Seamus Heaney and Wallace Stevens and began honing her own literary craft, winning multiple competitions with her short stories and poetry along the way. She has published her poetry in Hart House Review (as a runner up in its prestigious annual poetry contest), Posit, Echolocation, Trinity Review and the University Review, appeared in the Toronto Star, and now writes and illustrates for The Varsity.
