Studying International Business means great opportunities to work with companies. Students solve cases commissioned by companies and learn by completing the given assignment.

CASE: LAUNCHING A PRODUCT A regional company has developed a new product and is planning to sell it abroad, but the company has limited knowledge on the potential market. Karelia UAS assists the company in solving the case. A team of students is selected to work with the company. The student team, the company, and the instructor meet to define the target(s) for the project. The student team organises its activities independently by selecting a project manager and preparing a project plan. The instructor supervises the work in weekly meetings. The team also consults the company for additional information. The team searches for information and writes a research report.

Results For the company: The outcome includes a report containing information about customer behaviour, relevant sales channels, competing products and potential distributors in the target country(-ries). For the team: Theoretical knowledge Applying theoretical knowledge in practice Feedback from company Team working skills Potential thesis, internship or a job offer
