The tradition that head coach Bill Snyder established between 1989-2005 at K-State will continue beginning September 5 as the architect of the greatest turnaround in college football history will once again stroll the sidelines of the stadium that now bears his own name. Snyder gives the Wildcats instant credibility with his 136 career wins, 11 bowl games, four Big 12 North Division Titles and 2003 Big 12 title.

Snyder has assembled a coaching staff at KState with over 205 years of experience at virtually every level of the game. Masters of the fundamentals, unbridled enthusiasts and passionate individuals with the highest of values, the K-State staff is comprised of four former head coaches and five coaches with coordinator experience. The group has also combined for 77 postseason bowl berths.

Led by captains Carson Coffman, Alex Hrebec, Jeron Mastrud and Nick Stringer, the Cats possess a solid core of returning lettermen on both sides of the ball, including numerous key starters back on campus from last year’s team. Snyder and the K-State coaching staff will have plenty of experience with which to work as they look to return the program to a winning mindset after a productive spring.

Kansas State has a long-standing tradition of producing All-Americans, national award candidates and sending student-athletes to the professional ranks. Josh Freeman (pictured) re-wrote the Wildcat passing record books in 2008 to become K-State’s most prolific passer in school history. Freeman went on to become a first round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2009 NFL Draft.
