Do not drive or ride on a motorcycle after the treatment. It is best to have someone accompany you home.

Wear sunglasses to reduce the glare caused by light after treatment as the eye drops used during treatment may cause your eyes to dilate and blur vision.
You have had your Photodynamic Therapy Laser procedure done and received Intravenous Visudyne (verteporfin) Injection at Alexandra
The effect of the eye drops may last for 4-6 hours, depending on the individual.

Visudyne is a light-activated drug. You are advised to protect yourself against photosensitivity reaction for up to two days following Visudyne therapy treatment: •

Turn up for each follow-up appointment with your doctor.

Should you require urgent consultation or experience side effects from the medication (see product information) and laser treatment after Photodynamic Therapy, please contact the Eye Clinic at Alexandra Hospital at 6379 3500 or the Eye Clinic at Jurong Medical Centre at 65517785. Please refer to the overleaf for Clinic Operating Hours.
Avoid exposing eyes and skin to: - Bright light - Direct sunlight - Tanning salons - Halogen home and office lights and reading lamps - High powered lighting used in dentist offices or in surgery operating rooms

Wear dark sunglasses, gloves, a wide-brimmed hat, long sleeved shirt, slacks, socks and shoes two days after the treatment. The use of sunscreen and Sun Protection Lotion will not protect you against photosensitivity reaction, so it is best to cover up when you need to go out.
