ACCOUNT SETUP

Moving ahead, important communication will be sent to your new Juniata email account. Set up your EagleNet account using the enclosed guide from Campus Technology Services and be sure to check your email regularly.

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BILLING

Review the enclosed financial planning and billing guide. As you plan for financing your Juniata education, make certain that you have received your Financial Aid Letter, which details all aid resources available to you. If you have not received this letter, contact the office of Student Financial Planning at financialplanning@juniata.edu or 814-641-3142.

Using your Juniata user name and password, review your bill on CASHnet. Instructions for accessing CASHnet can be found in the financial planning and billing guide. In CASHnet, you can authorize others, like your parents or guardians, to have access to your billing information, and you can also set up a monthly payment plan.

After June 15, you should waive medical insurance through the College if you have other insurance coverage. The waiver must be completed at www.rcmdstudentbenefits.com by August 30, to have the charge for the College’s medical insurance removed from your bill.

ADVISING AND COURSE REGISTRATION

At Juniata, you partner with two advisors, both of whom are college faculty or staff members. One focuses on your Program of Emphasis, while the other guides you through the general education curriculum. Both help you design an educational plan encompassing classes, co-curricular options, and other opportunities that help you achieve your academic and career goals.

To prepare for your first semester as a Juniata student, be sure to:

• Complete your New Student Advising Questionnaire. We will be sending you this online form so our advisors can build your first semester class schedule just for you. Watch your Juniata email on May 15 for the form and then be sure to submit it by May 31.

• Visit the First Year Academics page at www.juniata.edu/orientation, where you will find instructions for submitting AP scores and college transcripts from other institutions and taking the world language placement test as applicable.

You will receive your customized class schedule in mid-June. You will be able to work with an advisor to answer any questions about your schedule and make changes if desired.

EAGLES SOAR ONLINE MODULE

Beginning June 1, you will need to complete our online orientation module. This module will help you to learn much of what you will need to know to be successful as a Juniata student. You will be introduced to our online learning platforms, start diving into our academic philosophy, learn more about our campus housing, meals, and clubs, and get some insider tips and tricks for being an Eagle! This online module should be completed by August 1.
