Las
casas de Chacaltianguis son de una arquitectura muy singular y este pintoresco lugar es característico por su delicioso mango Manila, ampliamente reconocido por su calidad en todo Veracruz. Este lugar también es tradición, es redescubrir los sabores naturales de antaño que se han ido diluyendo en la modernidad, pero que aquí permanecen anclados para regocijo de quienes lo visitan. Aquí tienes la oportunidad de degustar el mejor tamal de elote con carne de puerco de la región, los populares tamales rancheros de masa, el tradicional manjar de arroz con canela hecho en anafre con carbón y una panadería completamente artesanal. Entre las bellezas naturales que existen en este municipio se encuentra el arroyo Obispo, que corre a lo largo de la zona y desemboca en el Papaloapan. Además existen otros dos cuerpos de agua importantes: la Laguna del lagarto y la Del burro. En este municipio se lleva a cabo, a finales del mes de mayo, la Feria del Mango, una muestra ganadera, agrícola y gastronómica en donde participan productores de la región y en la que se llevan a cabo diversas actividades como jaripeo, encuentros de son jarocho y palenques.

Among all the natural beauties that exist in this municipality the “Obispo” creek, that runs along this zone and flows into the Papaloapan. Besides other two important bodies of water well known: “Laguna del Lagarto” and “Laguna del Burro”. This municipality host the celebration, at the end of the month of May, the Fair of the Mango, a sample of cattle raiser, agricultural and gastronomic exposure where local producers participate and in which diverse activities are promoted as “jaripeo” (horses ride), events of “son jarocho” and palenque pit.
