As a food campus, this proposal suggests a reversal into a historical food market with the intent of an on-site food system. I use ƚŚĞ ŵŽĚĞů ŽĨ Ă ŚŝƐƚŽƌŝĐĂů ĨŽŽĚ ŵĂƌŬĞƚ͕ ƚŚĞ ƚƌĂĚŝƟ ŽŶ ƌŽǁ ĐƌŽƉ͕ ĂŶĚ ƚŚĞ ĐƵƌƌĞŶƚ ďŝŐͲďŽdž ƐƚŽƌĞ ŵĂƌŬĞƚ ĂƐ ĚĞǀŝĐĞƐ ĨŽƌ ƚŚĞ ŽƌŐĂŶŝnjĂƟ ŽŶ of both agricultural and architectural components. The row crops works to create pavilions of the agricultural program while interlocking with its corresponding architectural proŐƌĂŵ͘ KǀĞƌ ƚŚĞ ƐŝƚĞ͕ ůĂŶĚƐĐĂƉĞ ĂůǁĂLJƐ ŵĂŬĞƐ Ă ĐŽŶŶĞĐƟ ŽŶ ƚŽ Ă volume. The public program moves to accumulate at 5th Avenue ƐƵŐŐĞƐƟ ŶŐ ƚŚĞ ďŝŐͲďŽdž ƐƚŽƌĞ ĨĂĕĂĚĞ͘ dŚĞ ďĂĐŬ ƌĞŵĂŝŶƐ Ă ŐƌĞĞŶ ĨĂĕĂĚĞ͕ ĂƐ Ă ƉĂƐƚŽƌĂů ǀŝĞǁ ĨŽƌ ƚŚĞ ŶĞŝŐŚďŽƌŚŽŽĚ͘ Extending the typical Weiland Park project idea which encouragĞƐ ŝŶƚĞƌĂĐƟ ŽŶ ďĞƚǁĞĞŶ ƚŚĞ ĐŽŶƐƵŵĞƌ ĂŶĚ ƉƌŽĚƵĐĞƌ͘ Ŷ ŽŶͲƐŝƚĞ ĨŽŽĚ ƐLJƐƚĞŵ ŝƐ ĚĞƉůŽLJĞĚ ƚŚƌŽƵŐŚ ƐƵƌĨĂĐĞ ĐŽŶĚŝƟ ŽŶŝŶŐ͘ ZĂƚŚĞƌ than entering at the street front, procession is encouraged on ƚŚĞ ĂĐƚƵĂů ĨĂĕĂĚĞ ǁŚŝĐŚ ƌĞŇ ĞĐƚƐ ƚŚĞ ƚĞƌƌĂĐĞĚ ĂŐƌŝĐƵůƚƵƌĞ ďĞŚŝŶĚ͘ This allows people to move over buildings and across landscapes simultaneously.
