When WINDY was established in 1966, the philosophy of the company was to build and deliver the «best built boats in the world». Ambitious, yet a bit naïve when knowing the circumstances at the time. Since then more than 11 000 boats have been built and delivered to discriminating boat enthusiasts all over the world and WINDY has become synonymous with this philosophy. Never losing our focus on quality and attention to detail has given us the status of “niche builder” amongst admirers in our industry. As one of the top industry leaders said very candidly to me a couple years ago; “Knut, I wish I could afford to build boats like WINDY…..” Over the years, we at WINDY have also delivered “customized” production boats as tenders to the yacht industry, but only when we were contracted to develop, build and deliver the WINDY Dubois SR 52 Blackbird, did we realize how perfect our skills and state of mind matched the demands of Yacht Owners. With the success of our SR 52 Blackbird, we have established a separate Business Unit; WINDY Yacht Projects. It has been incredibly encouraging how the yacht industry has embraced our new presence in this arena. Our objective is to offer the unique WINDY Qualities to the yachting industry in cooperation with some of the very best yacht designers and naval architects in the world. Custom tenders, tender limousines, chase boats in sizes from 7 meters to 24 meters can be efficiently and competitively be developed and built at our first class facilities in Västervik, Sweden. Thank you for taking the time to read about our achievements and future goals. We are very proud to be able to put the WINDY name on all our products and hope you will be as proud as we are! Yours sincerely, Knut Heiberg-Andersen President/CEO Windy Scandinavia AB

David Marsh, Motor Boat & Yachting; “ Norway has produced some awazing boats, but this boat here, the Windy 52 Blackbird, is the most mindboggling boat I have ever seen……” “fantastic detailing, amazing looks and absolutely wonderful ride” Dan Brown, Author of the Best seller novel INFERNO: Chapter 70, Page 308 – 309 “Because of the luxuries of private air travel, Elisabeth Sinskey had deplaned only ten minutes earlier and was already skimming across the lagoon in a futuristic black tender - a Dubois SR 52 Blackbird – which had been sent by a stranger who had phoned earlier” Superyacht Captain: Windy SR 26 “a lot of positive comments from guests and other yachts in the area. Our 2nd engineer says he has never seen such a well finished tender before, from the engine bay, all the way to the Manual provided . Loved the labels on everything!” VG (biggest Norwegian newspaper): “The Queen of the Show” EYOS Tenders Ltd, Mallorca Windy SR 26 “thank you for building us a beautiful boat”
