G
iven how difficult it is to start a business and maintain its success, the 2017 Journal Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards recognize significant accomplishment and achievement among area entrepreneurs as determined by votes cast by the public. The JT RC also highlights the non-profit services, professional services, places to visit and unique people and businesses that make Southern Maine such a great place to live and work in. During the voting period this year, we received hundreds of ballots and thousands of votes from readers who singled out their favorites for distinction as Readers’ Choice Award winners. The movers and shakers on this list are genuine trendsetters and innovators and some are long standing favorites among
generations of local families. For some, this list can be a matter of life and death when entrusting care for precious little members of families, such as that offered at Biddeford Animal Hospital, or pet grooming from Super Dogs & Cats in Biddeford, or choosing where to purchase a reputable new truck, like from Frank Galos Chevrolet and Cadillac in Saco. Readers have made it known that Landry’s Furniture Barn in Sanford provides quality merchandise and customers service and Pine Tree Seafood in Scarborough is the place to
go when looking for a fresh fish market. Several new winners are recognized, while a significant amount of winners from last year were voted number one. We want to thank Lucky Loggers Landing Restaurant, Vacationland Bowling Center and City Theater for providing gift cards and tickets to the lucky readers that turned in ballots and were chosen as winners.
