Congratulations on a successful first 2016 Journal Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards, somthing that we plan to make an annual contest. We received hundreds of ballots and thousands of votes from our digital and print ballots. As the nation prepares for a Presidential election, it’s a great reminder that your vote matters. As with any Readers’ Choice, some surprises appear, along with reminders of your favorite places here in your backyard. Lord’s Clam Box in Sanford, which won the highly contested favorite seafood category continues to be a crowd pleaser. Sea Salt Lobster claimed a couple categories including Fresh Fish Market and best Lobster. Pool Street Market in Biddeford won the best Lobster Roll category.
