Wait, who?!
My name is Joseph Rey Puno Velasquez, a graduate of Fine Arts, Major in Information Design from the Ateneo de Manila University. I was 3 years old when I started to draw on court papers my dad brought home, and I never looked back since. Nearly two decades later (and influenced by illustrators and designers such as Tom Whalen, Chuck Anderson, Stanley Chow, and Kozu), I have moved from the traditional pen-and-paper to graphic design using Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and 3DS Max. I am fond of both photomanipulation, illustration, and art direction, as seen in the collection of work displayed in the succeeding pages.

Illustration, Art Direction, Layout 2014-2015 Work done in partnership with the Ateneo de Manila University Press. This started out as my college thesis; a couple of years later, teachers from the Ateneo de Manila High School used my illustrations for their teaching materials. One thing led to another, and this became a book used by the school’s students, and also for sale for public consumption.

Various Elements 2011 I was contacted by Dan Matutina and Bernice De Leon-Yumul of Plus63 Design Studio to make varous typographic elements and illustrations for the website redesign of their client, Revolver Studios. The project is still ongoing, but these are the elements that can be shown.
