T

his family owned and operated business was founded by Frank and Rose Mary Spalitta in 1978. At that time S & W’s product line consisted only of meats such as hams, ground beef, and sausage and was housed in a small warehouse of a mere 5,000 square feet containing only 1 cooler, 1 freezer, a small office space and only servicing Tangipahoa Parish. Due to S & W’s loyal customer base and S & W’s determination to meet the needs of those customers, our business and facility has expanded into the 100,000 plus square feet it is today, housing all restaurant and food supply needs from toothpicks and toilet paper to actual restaurant equipment such as freezers, coolers, and anything else a restaurant or convenience store would need to operate successfully. Current owners, Frank and Rose Mary’s son, Paul and his wife Tiffany are continuing the legacy in striving to maintain the high standards S & W’s customers have come to expect both in quality and in service. For S & W to continue to provide outstanding quality and service we became a shareholder in the largest foodservice distribution cooperative in the United States, Unipro Foodservice. Comprising over 650 shareholder companies with over 900 locations, each distributor is independently owned, marketing the products and services provided by UniPro Foodservice. With a collective sales volume of over $58 billion, the buying power of UniPro enables us to receive enhanced purchasing opportunities, thereby providing better pricing and a vast array of products and services to our customers.

Our Footprint

We currently service restaurants, convenience stores, bakeries, coffee houses, childcare centers and multi-unit franchises throughout southeast Louisiana and parts of the Mississippi Gulf coast. We have two locations. Our main warehouse is located in Hammond in its original location. After acquiring DiVincinti Brothers in 2006, we felt it was important to continue to have a location in Baton Rouge as well.

Captain Frank’s Seafood farm raised catfish, oysters, and shrimp of all sizes packed exclusively for S & W.

deserve the most succulent cuts of meats. Southeast Prime Meats is a full line of Fresh and Frozen portion control Beef, Pork, Veal and Lamb, custom cut and packaged to your specifications.

Pocahontas Foods This foodservice brand has been around since 1890 and provides the same value, quality and consistency that has been instilled since their beginning. Pocahontas brands are well known to all types of establishments ranging from small family restaurants to large national chains.
