et me tell you, I have seen three weddings on the beach three years in a row (in Grand Cayman in May and June). One bride wore a Pnina Tornai gown covered in rhinestones on the beach. The next wedding I saw, the bride was in a Carolina Herrera satin gown, with threedimensional petals swirling about the entire gown. And the last gown I saw was Oscar de le Renta. These are not gowns that you would think of for a destination wedding dress. And that is what brides are doing: they are wearing dresses to reflect their style, not the location. Just because you are getting married on a beach, that doesn’t mean you have to wear a chiffon slip dress. Wear the dress that makes you feel the most comfortable. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend a heavy, long-sleeved satin gown with a ball gown skirt in the heat of August, on the beach in Mexico!

A girl got married in a barn and she went from salon to salon looking for a gown, and ended up in tears. She could not find a dress she liked. If you walk out in this satin gown on the beach, people are going to think oh my gosh I thought she was going to wear a slip dress. This is really cool.
