A full-service production, design, and experiential team, we maintain a world-class team of producers, project leads, designers, fabricators and a complete inventory of audio, video, lighting, staging, furnishing, décor and production equipment. With in-house fabrication and printing capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to pump life into the worlds most visible branded, broadcast and live event experiences.

DLP Media Group brings several decades of experience in premium unscripted storytelling. Along with long-form documentaries like Pony Excess, an installment of ESPN’s iconic 30 for 30 series, DLP has an extensive list of credits in live, studio, episodic, and branded content. Recent projects include Destination Dallas on NFL Network, eSports live studio show Watchpoint for The Overwatch League, and in production of two installments of 30 for 30 for ESPN.

A full-service production, design, and experiential team, we maintain a world-class team of producers, project leads, designers, fabricators and a complete inventory of audio, video, lighting, staging, furnishing, décor and production equipment. With in-house fabrication and printing capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to pump life into the worlds most visible branded, broadcast and live event experiences.

A ten-time Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer and Media Executive, Mike originally founded DLP with the goal of telling deeply human sports stories. Since founding DLP out of a spare bedroom in 2009, Mike has overseen several projects including “Pony Excess,” and installment of ESPN’s 30 for 30 series. In 2013, he put DLP on pause to oversee the launch of Fox Sports’ national cable network FS1. While there, Mike developed, launched, and oversaw programs including FOX Sports Live and The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and wore many more blazers than he currently does. After FS1’s successful launch, Mike rebooted DLP, expanding the company’s goal to telling non-fiction stories with all the drama, elation, comedy, and despair that make us who we are.

We’ve helped BET roll out the red carpet in a big way the last 8 years (2011-2018). The BET Awards & Experience weekend brings together thousands of music lovers for a 3-day jam-packed entertainment fest that features some of the world’s best music performers. The weekend of events involves designing, building, and executing experiences for BET, as well as event sponsors like Nissan, AT&T, L’oreal, Pantene, Sprite, and Progressive Insurance.

Super Bowl City, a free “fan village” that kicked off the week before Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco, featured family-friendly activities for fans of all ages. It allowed fans to enjoy the extravaganza that is the sporting world’s largest event, including looking-in on the live on-air broadcast.

The Pac-12 Football Championship Game is held each season to determine the conference’s top team. In addition to the game, notable alumni and fans mingle during a VIP tailgate pre-party. Interactive activities, food and drink, marching bands from both schools and the full collection of Pac-12 mascots create excitement before the game.

Red Bull Rampage is the world’s premier free ride mountain bike event. Downhill, slopestyle and freeride athletes converge on the demanding terrain of Virgin, Utah to compete for glory in one of the biggest tests of skill and guts in the world. We’ve designed, built, and attached branding to the side of cliffs for the last events (2015-18).

MAC is the world’s leading professional makeup authority because of their unrivalled expertise in makeup artistry. They make them for all ages, all races, and all genders. During pride week in LA, thousands engaged in our fan activation that featured a dj booth, ball pit, make-up station, and a performance stage.

Harnessing the power of live music, mtvU touched down in Austin, Texas during the SXSW Music Festival with the Woodie Awards. The awards honor emerging artists as voted for by college students, and feature live musical performances by the hottest new names in music. We designed and built the massive stage, which we adorned with hundreds of 2x4’s as an ode to the Woodie Awards name itself.

Hosted in New Orleans, the 2017 NBA All Star Game was a star-studded weekend full of high-flying acrobatics and slam dunks. We worked closely with the NBA and Smoothie King Center to coordinate all production elements including the construction of the court, seating, lighting, AV, power and labor.

From training camp to gameday, we bring the NFL experience to fans. Over the past two seasons, we’ve provided the LA Chargers with creative and memorable fan experiences on and off the field in the form of halftime shows, hospitality suites, beer gardens, concerts, football activities for the kids, and much more.

We’ve produced the last 9 Red Carpet & Pre-Shows for The Academy Awards. JLC founder, Joe Lewis, is also Associate Producer of the Pre-Show & Arrivals Broadcast. And part of the team that won an Emmy for the Digital Oscars show.

I N s i de t he e dge Gatorade is all about fueling athletes, giving them the edge they need to push past their competition. Inside the Edge expanded on that idea with short films about the techniques, training, and tests that help elite athletes achieve their fullest potential. These cinematically shot short films, made in conjunction with ESPN, gave viewers an intimate look at how the world’s best athletes become just that, whether it’s Usain Bolt’s intense weight-lifting workouts, pro surfer Coco Ho’s confidence-building work, or the NFL drills race car driver Jimmie Johnson runs with his pit crew. The project also provided Gatorade with an organic way to highlight its Sports Science Institute, which runs elite athletes through a panoply of tests that help them better understand the changes they need to make to propel them to success. Stand United chronicles the lives of unsung heroes from the backroads of America. Executive Produced by award-winning Director Robert Rodriguez, we tapped three up and coming filmmakers to take three different journeys that show us real-life examples of American grit, integrity, and courage.

A six-episode docu-series where three men, each at a crossroads in their lives, got sent to Hawaii to try to gain new perspective on their lives. While there, these strangers were paired with motivational coaches, challenged to push themselves to their mental and areally cool shit, like skydiving, racing ATVs, and swimming with sharks. For Super Bowl LI (2017), we kicked off coverage with an epic tribute to the incredible life of Muhammed Ali. By recreating many of his monumental walks into battle, both those inside and outside of the ring, we primed the audience for the march toward greatness that both the Patriots and Falcons were about to make.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced a partnership with Wish, a California based e-commerce platform. As part of the sponsorship, Wish’s logo will be featured on Lakers jerseys beginning in the 2017-18 season. The biggest rivalry in all of sports, El Clasico, was coming to the US in the Summer of 2017, and we were proud to play a part in the announcement of that monumental sporting event. Video Link:

Created to run alongside a national campaign, Are You From Here? provided an organic, personal look at Under Armour’s growing roster of athletes. These short videos explored the environments that forged the world’s superstar players, from the high school courts where they honed their skills to the Compton chicken and waffles restaurant Brandon Jennings visited with his family. Paired with poetic first-person monologues from the players, these videos gave fans an intimate look inside how players became who they are—as teammates, as athletes, and as humans.
