Dining

667 Somerville Ave Somerville, MA 02143

Food and wine are a huge part of the cultural landscape on a DuVine adventure, and itineraries allow for a wealth of indulgences — all unique and authentic. Gourmet cuisine is available whether dining alfresco or at top restaurants, local haunts and trendy eateries. Guests also sample wine at the best local vintners, cheese at organic farms, beer at regional breweries and may even take a cooking class. Foodies adore the “Chef on Wheels” excursion, where a renowned chef joins the tour and picks up ingredients at markets and farms along the way, creating a delectable meal each evening for the group.

Philanthropy With more than 25 percent of DuVine Adventures’ guests returning for new trips, the company is proud of the connections and friendships they’ve formed with travelers. To that end, DuVine proudly supports the causes and charities that are important to their customers, including the Arthritis Foundation’s People’s Coast 2011, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, Boston Ballet, Friends of Boston’s Homeless, House in the Woods Chicago, Children’s Hospital Boston and the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston). DuVine will be focusing its 2012 fundraising efforts by taking on a sponsorship role in the PanMass Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Activities Each day of a DuVine adventure is filled with wonder. Guests explore breathtaking terrain up-close while gliding past olive groves, rolling hills, fields of sunflowers, cranberry bogs and ancient villages. Guides also take guests off-road, allowing them to experience the region, whether hiking a volcano, snorkeling in the Red Sea or touring private wine estates. With an average of 8 to 12 guests per trip, each excursion is personal and intimate — and allows access to less-traveled sites. Bike adventures accommodate various fitness levels and feature special programs focused on yoga, family and food. Ski tours and private excursions are also available.
