Face the fear


In this activity I try to use almost all the strategies of social abilities management in only one class, but it’s not necessary to use them all.

This session I think it would be more convenient in the last year of the second cycle of pre-school (ages 5-6), although well carried could be smaller. Despite the fact that I have chosen this since every child have some fear, should be especially careful because what we believe is a simple fear may be a phobia.

Therefore, that the teacher has to do where can reach with each child, and go slowly evolve with those that costs them more tackle them.

Also like many in class will be treated is not made heavy, but never leaving respond to each student. Although many activities are seen perhaps, these are short and entertaining so it would be performed in a session.

Always with simple instructions, and with simple vocabulary and accessible.


1) We will begin the session with the teacher telling them which is their greatest fear. In this way we will show that all we have a fear of something. Here we will apply the program of modeling, where the student through the observation of the addressing of their fears, students will have a positive attitude to observe and imitate to overcome his fright.

2) Then students will be drawn on a sheet of paper which is his fear. 3) After that each one will proceed to say what is your fear and why, in this way is will break the barrier of fear, since open tell of their fear and why you have it, with these we find where it comes from that very important fear for came over.

4) Now we will do a role play, where the student will display (being fear) which is what makes this. And then tried to "ridicule it still put that you are afraid is likely getting bogged down or do so "bad" then the following activity.
