Jennifer Kennedy Dean is a significant voice in the current dialogue on spirituality and prayer. COMMENTS Both our seminar participants and staff were blessed to sit under your powerful teaching on prayer. As I reflect on my past year here, one of the bright spots was the week you spent here with us students at Princeton Seminary. I can’t tell you how much your insight into prayer affected me and others. Amidst all the rigorous academics, your fresh and riveting approach to the praying life was a tremendous blessing to those of us preparing for vocational ministry. She introduced the younger believers to the basics of prayer in a way that they could grasp, and also challenged our most mature intercessors with new insights in the ministry of prayer. She was as well prepared and fresh in the things of God as anyone we have hosted at First Baptist Church.
SPEAKING TOPICS Jennifer will fit the format and focus of her messages to your specific event. Jennifer can present a keynote message or series of messages based on your theme. Jennifer can present a more intensive seminar–style style or can present a message or series of messages.
SEMINAR OR RETREAT TOPICS The most popular time formats are as follows: Friday through Saturday Begin Friday evening (1 session); continue Saturday (remaining sessions); Some people end their weekend event at noon on Saturday, and others continue for lunch and an after- lunch session. Saturday only Many people find that by offering Saturday only is best for their audience. Often, Jennifer stays over to deliver Sunday morning message or conduct a combined Sunday School class. With this format, you might also offer an optional session on Friday eve- ning for leaders or for pastors— something that is separate from the main event. Sunday morning option The Sunday morning time is optional and is not part of the seminar content. Using her on Sunday morning, many have found, exposes more people to her dynamic message and provides continuity for the whole experience. Some choose to have her lead a combined Sunday School hour and others use her to deliver a message for worship services. Using her on Sunday morning does not increase the weekend speaker fee.
