Kids After School (KAS) provides children with a safe place to socialize and unwind with friends, complete homework with quality staff assistance, and stay active through a variety of recreational, enrichment, and child-suggested activities. Your child’s safety and well-being are at the forefront of our program. Supervised walkover from CESJDS is provided for all children in grades PreK-2, with optional supervised walkover for CESJDS 3rd & 4th graders. MCPS provides bus transportation to the Bender JCC from Luxmanor and Farmland elementary schools and Tilden Middle School, and other schools upon request. We offer flexible program options to meet the needs of our busy parents, all in a warm and welcoming Jewish environment. School Out Days, Early Dismissal Days and Winter & Spring Break Camps are included in the cost of the program on the days your child is enrolled. Participants will be picked up from CESJDS by Bender JCC staff and brought across the street to the Bender JCC for an hour of supervised fun crafts, friendly socialization, and group games. At 3:15 PM, those students enrolled in KAS will move into their designated classrooms, while the other students will meet parents at the KAS table in the front lobby for pick-up.

The Washington Area’s Only Non-Profit, Multi-Congregation Jewish Cemetery, Offering 20 Years of Caring Service and Dedicated Support ––J––

The Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park has become an integral part of the fabric for the entire Washington area Jewish community. We provide support to the members of Orthodox, Reconstructionist Reform, and Conservative congregations, as well as unaffiliated individuals of the Jewish faith. Twenty-six area Jewish congregations have reserved their sections in our garden. We are here to explore the many benefits of pre-planning for you or your family. We also offer a large selection of upright granite memorials and bronze markers. We are currently expanding and welcome you to visit our newest burial areas.
