On Being a Jewish Leader in a JCC What does it mean to be a leader in the JCC Movement? What is the role of the JCC in creating Jewish identity and a sense of Jewish peoplehood? And why is the JCC uniquely positioned to be THE place for Jewish community building?

Presenter: Avraham Infeld, president emeritus, Hillel, and founder and director of a succession of innovative educational institutions, has invested a lifetime building Jewish identity and strengthening the state of Israel and the Jewish people. 2:15 – 2:30 P.M.

Plenary: Israel as our Inspiration to Build Community During this plenary, all Esther Leah Ritz Emerging JCC Leaders will be honored.

10:30 A.M. – 12 P.M.

Plenary: As a Driven Leaf — Israel in the Mind of North America Israel has the power to inspire people in large and small ways. Meet some faces of Israel that may be new to you and tell a story that is perhaps different than the one told in the news media.

12:15 – 2 P.M. Includes lunch

Kadimah! How can we move forward to effect real change in our JCCs? Why is it critical to infuse new ideas and new leadership into our JCCs? How can I make an impact in my own community?
