These Group X Classes Are FREE to JCC Members Mind/ Body/Core classes

Cardiovascular classes

GENTLE YOGA This is a great way to begin your practice of the mind/body/breath connection through yoga. This class will guide you through a gentle series of yoga postures that will increase flexibility, improve circulation and cultivate more energy. Please bring a yoga mat to class.

CARDIO BLAST This is a high intensity class that will use a variety of cardio formats including Step, high/low impact, kickboxing and sports drills. Come ready to get a great workout and leave sweaty!

SVAROOPA YOGA This style of yoga will utilize a unique blend of restorative poses to create a core opening while encouraging relaxation to the deepest layers of the body.

CARDIO KICKBOXING This high-speed, intense aerobic workout will get your heart pumping! Learn kicking and punching techniques while strengthening the entire body. Be ready to jab, hook and roundhouse while totally empowering yourself.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA This style of yoga links breath and movement through a nimble sequence of Sun Salutations and postures. The smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will improve your balance and flexibility. Each class will also include static yoga stretches and conclude with a stress reducing relaxation.

CYCLE/SUNRISE CYCLE Sign-up required up to 1 hour prior to start of class. All Cycle rides are set to fun, high energy music that will give you a fantastic heart pumping workout. Classes will simulate various outdoor bike riding styles including in and out of the saddle while challenging you with sprints and climbs. Be ready to sweat! Sunrise cycle will be held outside as long as weather permits.

SUPER STRETCH This class will give you a 30 minute head to toe stretch using a combination of traditional yoga poses along with relaxing static stretches. Get ready to feel more relaxed and centered and ready for your day.

Dance / Cardio Classes

MELT Do you have body aches and pains? This class utilizes customized balls and rollers to help massage away tightness caused by injury or stress. The MELT method system will improve flexibility, mobility and posture while reducing aches, pains and tension. MAT PILATES/ADVANCED MAT PILATES This class is based off of the teachings of Joseph Pilates. It is designed to develop your core strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and mind body awareness while focusing on proper breathing and posture. Advanced Mat Pilates is at a faster pass with a higher level of difficulty. PILATES FUSION This class is designed to develop your core strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and mind body awareness while focusing on proper breath and posture. Along with classical Pilate’s exercises this class will include a fusion of standing exercises and the use of equipment such as bosu, balls and bands.

Strength/Toning BODY BLITZ Maximize your work out with a 30 minute resistance class. In this class you will get a complete muscle toning workout using a variety of equipment including; free weights, bands, balls, and platforms. This will increase strength, calorie burning muscle mass, improve bone density and posture. AB LAB This is a 30 minute workout that will target your abdominal/ core muscles. ZUMBA Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring!

Interval Classes BURN AND FIRM This class will combine high energy cardio drills with resistance exercises for a complete total body workout. You will use a variety of exercises and equipment to keep you mentally and physically motivated.

Water Aerobics Classes LOW IMPACT WATER AEROBICS Increase your strength, flexibility and aerobic conditioning through water exercises. Burn calories, move to the beat and have a great time all without putting unneeded stress on the joints. This class is great for anyone recovering from injury, or has arthritis or osteoporosis. AQUA FITNESS This class will bring your fitness up to the next level by challenging you with both strengthening and cardiovascular exercises. You will receive all the benefits of exercise without the added stress on your joints. Great for when you are ready for a little bit more than the Low Impact Aqua class. WATER PILATES This class will incorporate Pilates exercises that will help to build a stronger core, increase flexibility, improve posture, strength and endurance while focusing on the mind body connection. This class is great for all levels of fitness. Modifications will be addressed.
