Science what is your competence Scientists and philosophers differ in one respect when life and human life is concerned. Scientists are pragmatists while philosophers are champion of life. Life means a sum of physical and chemical forces. Scientists believe that nothing can be beyond the preview of science. They do not accept mind and soul. But however life doesn't mean a mechanical equation nor is it restricted to physical and chemical changes because these cannot explain the secrets of life. Does progeny always need forefathers? Does not progeny come out of the tree, the stone and the earth? To this question Aristotle answered in the affirmative 2,300 yrs ago. Later it was believed that animals come from huge trees. Till as late as 3,4 hundreds ago scientists affirmed that scorpions, centipedes, rats, worms come from earth. A Russian scientist by name Oparin in the year 1922 gave a theory of the evolution of life on earth. It was improved in the year 1936. This theory propounds that life was possible due to certain fundamental changes in chemical substances. Stanley Lloyd Miller in the year 1953 conducted certain experiments subjecting hydrogen, Ammonia, Methane, Water vapor to electric circuits and created amino acids and announced that they are the basic constituents of life. According to the information received from the satellite "Cosmic Background Explorer" on 18th November 1989 there was a Big Bang 1370 crore years ago. Hence cosmos has been contracting which is widely believed by many scientists. Scientists are trying to crack the evolution of life for a long time. They believed that microorganisms present in the cosmos made life on earth possible. This theory was propounded in 1986 by Sir Frid Hoyle and his associate N.C Vikram Singh, which is refuted by today's famous astronomer Karl Sagan. Newton long ago told us about the mutual power of attraction in the universe and hence all the planets are in their orbit. However oflate the theory of the great attractor has been gaining round and scientists from Greenwich Royal observatory along with astronomers from Cambridge, Arizona, California is trying to research this great attractor. Scientists who have been engaged in trying to find out the evolution of life from the evolution of universe have not met with success. It is eluding them. If science takes a step ahead and then it would be. There is an invisible force. Any middle school student can give the formula of the water. This formula is the result of thousands of years of research by hundreds of scientists. The Greek philosopher Aristotle told us that the universe is made of 5 elements and matter is made of water. However even before science was born this was declared by Bible. # Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. # Rom 4:17 Calls things that are not as though they were. The great God declared that the great substance, which is called by science as the great attractor, created the universe. In the beginning God made Earth and Heaven by His Word (Gen 1:1). He created everything (Heb1:3, 4). Science was confused till it knew
this. Everything is this universe come from an invisible force. Everything came out of God's word (John1:3). I appeal to the readers that of the 5 forms we should think about the earth. # Isa 55:10, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. # Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. # Isa 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. # Ps 19:1-6 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat. # Gen 1:14-15 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. Science, which at one time believed that the planets were stationary, today, accepts the orbits and movements. Bible predicted the speed of Sun to be 1,11,600 kilometers per hour sound the Milky Way which science has to accept today. I openly declare that everything shall be according to His word. We learn new things when we know how month, year and days are calculated. Why does earth need 24 hrs to revolve round itself? Why does the moon need a month to revolve round the earth? Why do these two need a year's time to circle the sun? Do you think science can answer these questions? It is not possible. The universe is bound by His word and hence science could calculate but it cannot change the cycle of nature. We understand now how God's word is needed for man's existence. We only know that earth is the originator of life because no other planet is conducive to the birth and sustenance. I challenge science once again. Man who kills his brethren is foolishly trying to search for life in other planets. Often science understands that life cannot exist on any other planet. 4 ladies and 4 men donning black uniforms entered to " Biosphere 2" a simulator of earth and declared that they want to investigate the conditions for life on Moon and Mars. Some like to brood chicken, some like to gaze at stars but we want to lay the foundations for man's existence on other planets they say. This Biosphere2 was built at the base of Santa Catalina Mountains 25 kilometers from Tucson in an area of 2,500 acres spending crores of rupees. What has the Biosphere achieved? Many scientists differ. The American government did not aid this project. Prof. Charles Hutchinson of the university of Arizona believes that it is an exercise in futility. The Ghia doctrine says that the whole earth is like a living organism. As a being controls its systems earth also controls its systems. The Biosphere 2 is based on these principles and if successful they want to replicate and create another earth on another planet. Do you know what the Bible says of such people? # Acts 17:26-27 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the
times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. . Man should not exceed his limits. His efforts would be like trying to grab air: Do remember. Do you understand the strength of science? Do you understand the power of God's word? Please try to understand # Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. # Isa 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." # Gen 1:11, 20 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." # Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. If you recall the earlier essay - In addition to the theory of Gia, Aristotle theory of 1922, the Oparin theory of 1936, the experiments of Stanley Lloyd Miller of 1953 we understand that it is from the earth that beings were created and creation began and it took so much time for the world to understand this. Animals excrete, worms come out of the excreta and by this very fact how powerful is earth. And the earth was created by the word of God, the Bible says, so. God tells us to believe His words. Seeds, trees and fruits shall be the food of man. The reptiles shall feed on the trees (Gen1:29,30) God's word shall come true. All beings are from dust, go into dust and are sustained by dust. God created the trees, then the tree of life, then the tree of knowledge (Gen 2:9), even man is made of dust, (Gen2: 7). That means the dust is habitable. # 1 Peter 1:22,23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. If beings come out of dust, the dust was made by God's word and God's word can be understood by belief and not of science. Who taught this knowledge? All those who live by the word of God shall conquer the world. # 1 John 5:4 This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. # 1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. # 1 Cor 1:20-21 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. # 1 Cor 2:4-8 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Man is the epitome of all beings; Man's anatomy is still a mystery. Embryology is a wonder. How genes aid, defeat us and control fetus is still a mystery. The fertilized egg
develops into organs with different cells like cartilage cells, skin cells nerve cells etc., and all these organs come from a single cell. Our hands and feet have similar cells but hands differ from legs because of the arrangement of cells like we build houses with the same bricks and cement. Human cells are similar to those of monkeys, Giraffes, Hippopotamus but they differ in shape because of the arrangement in their cells. Do the cells know that they shall form legs, which all the fingers of a hand are not of the same shape? Why does the thumb differ from other fingers? The thumb position is uniform, and how do the cells know? These funny sounding questions are still a mystery to the scientists and they are trying to decode. # 1 Cor 15:37-38 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. # 1 Cor 3:6-7 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. Inscrutable is God's nature. His word is spread like a double-edged sword, which divides life, soul, joints, marrow and even thoughts. Nothing can escape his ken. (Heb 4:12,13) Science has doubted Bible since a long time. They have been doubting it. Some people try to interpret Bible and have become legends. Some have plagiarized. Any scientist needs a base for his research. They have plagiarized from Bible, did not acknowledge it, and dubbed it as their own. Many scientists bare Christian names. I want to reveal the truth of God's word, which has been misunderstood. When Abraham was 99 God appeared to him and blessed him that he shall be the patriarch. I shall come again unto you and your wife Sarah will bare a son. # Gen 17:1-7 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers." Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. # Gen 18:10-14 Then the LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, "After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?" Then the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Will I really have a child, now that I am old?' Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son." # Gen 21:1-3 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him. # Rom 4:9-21 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah's womb was
also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. God ordered the universe and it shall obey his word. Those who believe only in science have had set backs and I shall describe a few of them here. Eenadu, Sunday 25-2-1991: - "Twins in 70's give birth to children" Herta and Gerta were identical twins who have 3 sons, 6 grandsons, & 6grand daughters. The news was shocking. They have birth pangs after 39 years of gap and were an enigma to the medical world. An octogenarian becomes a mother. Scientists are investigating this medical sensation. From the above one can understand the power of Abraham and Sarah. But still the scientists do no embrace the Bible. Women reach menopause from 40 and chances of conception are few. Recently in Walset Crick, doctors helped a 50 years old lady to deliver. Doctor Donald Galland propounded the theory in 1991 that hormonal treatment can make even old women conceive. If you closely examine the words of science, you can understand from this essay how science has to take recourse to God's word though it denied in the beginning. "Faith" the weapon should have saved man huge expenditure and loss of life. It is never late and scientists would be lucky if they start believing God's word. # Matt 1:22-23(Isa 7:14) All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"-which means, "God with us." God's word created being then the earth and from thence man not parents alone to give life: The Word of God is that powerful so that it can make even a old woman or a virgin to bare children. Science has no right to decide. "Everything is done by His powerful Word". And the power of his word given unto us and we have to sing his praise. Today's Christian scholars do not investigate this great knowledge and have changed the Bible. I leave it to you what is to be done to these infidels who believe that a virgin cannot bare children. # Gal 4:5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. # 1 Cor 15:19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.
