TOWN OF GRAVENHURST OFFICIAL PLAN REVIEW AND UPDATE - SPECIAL MEETING

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Gravenhurst Opera House (Trillium Court) 295 Muskoka Road S, Gravenhurst, Ontario The Official Plan is the municipality’s key planning document, intended to guide and control future land use development, and establishes policies for the use and management of land within the Town of Gravenhurst. The Town’s current Official Plan was approved in 2008. The Planning Act requires that an Official Plan be reviewed to ensure that the Plan is consistent to the most current Provincial and District land use planning policy and legislation, and provides the opportunity to ensure it continues to reflect matters of interest to the community. THE PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING is to allow the public further opportunity to provide input on potential revisions to the Official Plan and to provide an outline of the Draft Policy Discussion Papers completed to date. We would welcome your input on this process either in writing or in person at the Special Meeting and/or at one of the Public Workshops. Please direct any comments, information or questions to:

GRAVENHURST PUBLIC LIBRARY Celebrate Earth Day at the Library Saturday April 23 with two different events! 10 am to noon - Kids ages 4 to 11 can join Carla to hear stories and make a craft out of recycled materials. 1 to 2:30 pm – Earth Day Crafts with Hilary from Habitat for Humanity.
