Special Thanks The American Association of Airport Executives wishes to thank Krys T. Bart, A.A.E., President and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport; Randall Berg, A.A.E., NAC Chair; Ben DeCosta, A.A.E., NAC Vice Chair, and the National Airports Conference Committee for their tremendous help and dedicated support during the planning of the 2008 National Airports Conference.

NAC08 ABOUT YOUR BADGE The only thing you need to participate in the conference is your badge. Not only does it serve as your introduction to the people you meet, but it allows you to gain access to all events. Be sure to wear it at all times.

MESSAGE CENTER AAAE will operate a message center during the posted registration hours. All incoming messages will be posted on the message center board. It is the responsibility of the attendees to check the board for messages.

MENTOR PROGRAM To encourage newcomers to attend the NAC, AAAE is proud to offer the NAC Mentor Program. This program is designed to “pair up” first-time conference attendees with more experienced registrants (mentors). Mentors are responsible for acclimating new attendees. By being paired with a mentor, first-time attendees have a better appreciation for both the formal and informal gatherings at the NAC. An orientation session for first-time attendees will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, in Tuscany 11 at the Peppermill Resort Casino.

COST EFFECTIVE, AUTOMATED, COMPUTERBASED TRAINING IET, A TRAINING DELIVERY SYSTEM AND MORE

The Interactive Employee Training (IET) System has become the industry’s training standard. It is not only the most used and trusted airport training platform, but it is also the system best liked by airport employees. As a result, IET technology has already delivered more than 1,100,000 training sessions. Five hundred IET workstations, loaded with safety and security training programs customized for each location, have been

installed at more than 80 airports. These cost-effective training machines instruct, test and automatically store records for almost 1,000 airport employees every day. But the most significant feature of the IET system is how it makes the employee feel during the training process. Each of the multiple workstations, although networked together for data transmission, operates independently to individualize the learning experience. Touch screen technology makes the system easy to use. Control buttons on each monitor allow employees to work at their own pace by stopping or rewinding the full screen video training program as needed. These carefully planned features put the employee at ease during the entire training experience. For more information, contact Jim Johnson at (813) 792-1711, e-mail jim. johnson@aaae.org, or Will James at (703) 824-0500, Ext. 149, e-mail will. james@aaae.org.

ANTN DIGICAST ANTN Digicast, www.antndigicast.com, AAAE’s Web-based video training and content service, now counts more than 230 airports as subscribers. Employees, tenants and contractors at subscribing airports can view the programs on any Internet-connected computer, allowing employees to train anywhere—at work, at home or on the road! Over the past decade, ANTN Digicast has produced and distributed airport training on a variety of pertinent topics, including required recurrent Part 139 operations, airport security, including SIDA, and ARFF. Among the recently posted titles: Basic Airport Self-Inspection (a five-part series); Airfield Electrical Safety, and Airfield Safety and Incursion Prevention (a six-part series). A monthly subscription fee will allow your airport to receive new training produced by ANTN plus access to an on-demand library of 650-plus airportspecific video training and news programs that previously have been broadcast on ANTN. Thousands of hours of airport

training are available at your fingertips. The popular Airport Training and Safety Institute (ATSI) still is offered free of charge to all employees at ANTN airports. ATSI is fully automated so employees will no longer have to log programs manually to gain credit for their training. ATSI also automatically will track individual testing. A.A.E.s earn CEU credits by watching ANTN Digicast programming. The true value of ANTN Digicast is that it offers training on a broad spectrum of topics. It is the ideal way to keep your employees trained with a minimum of disruption since the training is available on any computer with an Internet connection. For more information or to set up a free trial, contact Sean Broderick at (703) 824-0500, Ext. 126, or e-mail sean.broderick@aaae.org.

CUSTOMIZED TRAINING AND MARKETING VIDEOS AAAE is the industry leader in producing customized training videos for airports. Topics include airport security/SIDA; security awareness and behavioral recognition for front-line employees; Non-Movement and Movement Area driver training; airfield incursion prevention; electric cart driving; airport and aircraft familiarization; fuel handling; environmental, and customer service. Some of these videos have been produced in Spanish, and all custom training has other language options. Our list of satisfied customers includes Seattle-Tacoma International, Chicago O’Hare, Washington Dulles, Baltimore-Washington, Atlanta Hartsfield, Milwaukee, Austin and many others. With years of proven experience, AAAE’s production staff knows and understands each training subject. State-of-theart technology, reasonable prices and successful adult learning design make these training videos popular items for airports. For more information, call Jim Martin at (703) 824-0500, Ext. 166.
