Healthy Way to Cook and Store

Sous vide is a new method of cooking food in a healthier way through vacuum. In this technique of cooking, Food is sealed in a plastic bag which is then dropped into a water bath that is heated to a particular temperature depending upon what food is in the pouch; the temperature of water is lower then what is generally there in normal cooking method. Majorly two equipments are required in this method of cooking namely: vacuum sealer machine and water bath. Vacuum sealer is used to seal food for storing in different places like freezer etc and to keep food fresh while you are on a tour or are travelling, it will remove all the air which is surrounded around the piece of food and then a plastic cover is sealed around the food which makes it ready for cooking. Water bath is used to set the water temperature and time and it dunks the vacuum sealed food items into the bath. The main benefit of such technique of cooking is that it gives the food a different texture, is healthier, is easy to cook and store. Emballage sous vide is one of the famous and most used methods of food preservation wherein all the air is removed from a sterilized container or package before sealing so that oxygen which causes degradation is removed. The benefit of this packaging is that the food remains fresh for longer period of time, the appearance and texture of the food remains intact, the food will not become hard or dry or rancid. The food remains protected. There are three methods of vacuum packaging: Electric pump system, manually operated vacuum pumps, bag sealers with a fan. The vacuum packaged cereal doesn’t require refrigerating but vacuumed packed dairy and other products are required to refrigerate.
