Movement within the system depends on the type of germination the seed undergoes. Seeds requiring immediate sowing are sown in the base of architectural pods on site. Those needing periods of stratification are transported to the storage space in Te Papa where they are stored for the appropriate amount of time in the exhibition space of the Core until they can be germinated in the nursery structures to the south east of the museum
