P

hase one of a multi-year update of SiriusXM’s New York Headquarters and Broadcast Center was completed in 2014. The project scope included a complete re-design of the main lobby and live performance studio. A double story feature wall of backlit acrylic panels with a media wall set the tone for the satellite radio provider. New green rooms for visiting talent, a conference center and a general office refresh completed the initial phase of the master plan that will expand production facilities for the media giant by the end of 2016.

edia paritions were designed to greet the guests and visitors of the news station. Ribbed channel glass was backlit over a bold graphic wall. Monitors to feature flagship broadcast products were floated in front of the glass. A state-of-the-art curved monitor was recessed into a curved partition at the entrance to the newsroom.

emands on the cafe had outgrown the existing configuration. Beverage options and condiments were arranged in a continuous bar configuration. Natural light was utilized by placing a translucent panel at the back of the coffee station. to complete their beverage preparation while being out of the path of other patrons. VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY GAREY HALL MEDIA CENTER

T

he new media center at the Villanova University Department of Communications includes a black-box studio, control room, media lab and classrooms. A central common space was

designed to create a gathering area for students, provide space for impromptu presentations, and to mitigate the multiple level changes of the existing building. This project was designed in collaboration with Blackney Hayes Architects in Philladelphia, PA. Construction was completed in October of 2014.

A

complete gut renovation of the 3rd level office facilities was completed while updating the exterior look and feel of Manhattan Neighborhood Network. The network is a not-for-profit organization that provides access

to production technology, skills classes, and studio space to prodcuers of video content in the communities of Manhattan. The client was looking to update the look, feel, and function of their headquarters on 59th street.

LAWLINE STUDIO MANHATTAN

T

he media production client was looking to updgrade their presence with a new video production studio. Materials were selected to compliment traditional sophistication of a legal office while reaching forward to contemporary textures and materials. The complete space supports the company’s charge to deliver online educational content to an increasingly tech savvy clientele.

RIVERVIEW HOTEL MANHATTAN ART DIRECTION CONCEPTUAL MASSING

T

his proposal envisioned a hotel on lower Bowery that would take advantage of views of the East River, the Manhattan Bridge and the surrounding city skyline. A massing model was created in-house. Programmatic elements include event space at the rooftop level, Hotel rooms and a podium containing restaurant, retail and events space. Art direction was provided to an out-of-house rendering service using the concept model as a base to produce a marketing image for the project.

assing concepts were prepared for a property owner interested in developing affordable housing. The site is narrow flanked by an MTA Right Of Way and a main thuroughfare. The proposal suggests a platform over the tracks, allow the owner to maximize Floor to Area Ratio. A majority of platform area is dedicated to outdoor community amenties.
