WE ARE

FOCUSED ON STUDENTS Going to college is all about finding your future. What gets you excited? Where do you see yourself in the future? Find a career that offers opportunity and satisfaction. Maybe you’re not sure what your future will hold. Jackson College can help. STUDENT SUCCESS NAVIGATORS Student success navigators serve not only as academic advisors but as a student’s academic, financial and total resource advocate or coach. Navigators will serve as the “go-to” person to help students throughout the college experience. PATHWAYS Guided pathways offer students a clear schedule and academic plan from first to last semester. Students take just the courses they need, following an education plan that maps out their choices all the way to earning a degree. New students will enroll in a seminar class to help them identify their strengths, passions and values to find a career field that will be a good fit. EXPERT FACULTY Learn from caring faculty whose goal is to help you achieve success. Faculty members teach smaller classes with opportunity for interaction – not graduate students or teaching assistants. You will have the benefit of and access to outstanding and passionate professors. The College’s faculty-to-student ratio is 14:1. More than 90 percent of full-time instructors hold advanced degrees. PLAN FOR TRANSFER Many Jackson College courses cover the same content as those at a four-year university, so credits transfer. The Michigan Transfer Agreement makes it easy to transfer 30 hours of general education requirements from Jackson College to many colleges and universities. If you plan to transfer, connect with a student success navigator during your first semester. He or she can help ensure that you are taking classes that will transfer to your intended university.
